Sega Rally 3 has the same Game Over Yeahhhhh
It’s at the end of this video.
More Saturn stuff please.
Turn the collar on the wheel to extend it.
Cyberia!
11 incredible action sequences more intense and realistic than anything ever brought to the Saturn.
My Saturn Arcade Racing Wheel still has the suction cups, so I keep it on a tray. It works great.
2:46 Mike talks about easter eggs but forgot that Sonic the Hedgehog cameo that appeared seconds later (2:59).
I'll never be sick of physical media. They can pull the physical media from my cold dead hands.

They may take my Spotify, but they'll never take my CD's!

If you guys liked this, you should play Virtual On for the Saturn using the twin sticks that was made for it.
I agree. That would be amazing
I love how happy Sega Rally is when you get Game Over. What a troll game. lol

"Imagine if the gas was on the wheel"
Well, that's basically what the Model T and most early vehicles had. There was a lever where we currently have the wiper stalk that you would adjust for acceleration. And as mentioned by others, adaptive wheels for people with disabilities are usually hand controls... and then there is Alex Zanardi ;)
i remember playing daytona in an arcade, i was like 15? 16? saw another kid playing it with manual, and how they use it, learned some impressive drifts back then with MT
I had Daytona! “You’re burnin up the tires!” And “You can take em!”
Thank you for being cool, genuine, funny, and informative in your James and Mike Mondays (as well as all your cinemassacre work)
Sega Master System had those same plastic cases before Genesis.

21:34 I'm so glad I told all of my college teachers to piss off when they told me I had to use Final Cut. Been using Adobe products since 2004 and haven't looked back.
@Jake Gottfried Studios Damn bad pc/staff
Final Cut makes you buy “Compressor” if you want to choose your own export settings
Damn...... that’s weird.....
It's a very good program once you get over the different paradigm.
It seems both of them never played Sega Rally on the arcades... It handled like that, really arcady slippery feel. Which is a good thing because when you are doing a Rally time attack you go so fast and have so little control that it feels really accurate. I got a few videos of me doing Sega Rally 3 which has a really similar handling model.
Now, Daytona has really good gameplay physics, it's not realistic at all but sure it's fun. Same with ManxTT.
Sega SuperGT and Daytona 2 is where it's at though. At least from the older generation, if you wanna go with modern stuff, you got Wangan Midnight and Initial D which are pretty good.

Well, Cinemassacre isn't ADHD enough for today's xanax kids.
As someone who grew up with a Sega Saturn, I am so happy that somebody is taking about it. The 2d games like Clockwork Knight and Astal were a lot of fun nd Night into Dreams is very good. Now if only more people could play the Panzer Dragoon games.
Panzer Dragoon is getting a remake on the Switch. They revealed it at e3.
Shining Force III was the shit. Especially with the Game Shark.
@@timmer919hep If we can remake Panzer Dragoon Saga, then gaming will be better for it.
I don't know how so many people play Daytona without ever drifting. It's the core mechanic of the game! It's like playing street fighter and never doing a hadouken or any combos..
PotbellyPunch - these guys are supposed to be Pros, but can't plat SF2 or Daytona. I respect them but those are major down-checks.
James: *crashes horribly*
Also James: " *this steering wheel feels realistic* "

6:35 They have hand controlled cars for the paraplegic.
yea i know FDR had a sweet car with ignition, brake, and clutch all coming off the steering wheel
Never drove stick in my life, but I'm curious... Avgn 2019
josh the barber hella surprised by that too, I feel like James would know that knowing to drive stick is helpful.
He's Trans-clutch.
@@jacoblipkestudios7621 Eh, I'm 39 and have tried to drive stick once. Hated it, lol. Didn't help that I wasn't ready to try to drive out on the roads yet (as opposed to an empty parking lot). There actually is cars with gas and brake on the steering wheel, for the people with legs disabilities, my grandfather owned one of those.
Was going to say the same, except the grandfather part.
Dont forget most vehicles have the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel too.....
In regards to having the gas pedal on the steering wheel: My cousin was paraplegic and she had a van that was customized with the accelerator and brake attached to the steering column. Similar to a motorcycle grip.
Mike had me at “You take this and stick it b/w your legs” lol
I absolutely LOVE James and Mike Mondays!
this series ages like wine too. it's like an IRL look into AVGN
He literally flips his car... accidentally yet luckily LANDS ON PIT ROAD... then REFUSES to stay in pit road and cuts across the grass to avoid having his car fixed? 🤔
Dave Who even cares
You think he cared about that? He was just giving the game a whirl, he literally couldn't have cared less. Wow. What a petty comment.
Sega Saturn the Best underrated system ever
Best controller for 2d games hands down.
what's underrated about it ? it had great time, still considered good, just every developer hated it cause it was hard to make games on it.
CheFAR If only every company had the work ethic of Capcom when it came to the Saturn, as their games were always top notch.
They did have an advantage, what with being close to Sega’s offices in Japan, so the architecture of the system wasn’t as much of a puzzle to them.
I still maintain that credit is due.
Agree
@@daniellado2523 Facts!

Sega Saturn had always outperformed Michael Bay
"Gas on the steering wheel", funnily enough tractors have a gas lever in addition to the pedal, sometimes by the steering wheel, particularly on older tractors.
THIS MADE MY DAY!!! I loved my Saturn.
I was born the same day as the olsen twins, therefore you guys have to play more Sega Saturn games!
Never drove a stick. - Fair enough.
Never pressed the brake button in the game. - Dafuq are you thinking?
This is what my friends did when they played racing games. This is also why they lost a lot of their races, and they couldn't understand why because they were going as fast as possible.
@@BiroZombie yeah exactly nothing wrong with letting go of the accelerator button and or braking for sharp turns otherwise you're going to constantly be running into walls lol
@@kylem1112 Indeed.
Yeah, some people get lost on the concept of breaking makes you go faster.
@MagicianTrix Arts That car flies if you hit the wall.....
If you go in the wrong direction and slam the other cars oncoming, you can glitch up the computer race cars.....
That was the best car in the game......

For those of you owners out there who own Sega Saturns: I recommend saving your Saturn's game data to a Sega Saturn RAM memory cartridge of your choosing. Saving your Saturn's game data to your Saturn's built-in save battery is not recommended. And by the way, Mark Bussler of Classic Game Room reviewed the Saturn racing wheel. He also reviewed the Sega Dreamcast racing wheel as well.
For a second, I thought my computer had broken up at that amazing 15-second long GAME OVER YEAH!!

@@Invidente7 I had a top comment on one of their past James and Mike Mondays and I asked them to play Gunstar Heroes. Still no word on it yet :/

dude you should make a video of you learning to drive stick that would be great!!!
I get the feeling James and Mike aren't too familiar with rally racing. Fast cars, all terrain, loose dirt, time trials, narrow courses, horseshoe turns, lots of drifting, and a guy in the passenger seat giving directions.
My friends sometimes play that song while I'm driving and then they want to get out.
Cinemasacre finally reached 3M subs!!
Sega fans, where you at?!?!
Sega isn't really a thing anymore. Technically there are still Atari 2600 fans who hate Nintendo, but they're so marginal that they don't matter, which is pretty much where Sega is at now.
@Most Deadest Pool of em All. Exactly
Right here watching these Nintendo fans talk smack. Doesn't bother me. I'm not the one missing out on the great Sega games.
Yas! I picked one of those Saturn wheels up at a store in Taiwan for about $20. I love it! The store even threw in this Saturn to PlayStation adapter so I can use the Saturn wheel on PS and PS2 racing games. Not sure how it works, but it works!

James : This game is hard
Mike : yeah it's not easy
You guys should play Carmageddon 2... it's one of the most violent games of the 90's, but also super satisfying... AND Iron Maiden did the soundtrack!
Good game, maiden is awful. C1 has a better soundtrack imo
@@mokenetgumshoe1064 Your opinion is bad and I feel bad for you. That being said, never spread your ignornant filth in these parts again. Maiden rules and they picked four of the best songs possible for C2. You're embarassing yourself trying to call Aces High or The Trooper "awful".
That wheel design looks cool af.
Amazing how SEGA design still looks modern even after all these years.
Learning so much about game design just by watching you guys is awesome. Thanks and congrats on the 3 million subs.
Please play "The Stanley Parable". Perfect game for a James and Mike Monday.
"No room for more physical media"
I feel your pain lol
Love to see you guys do racing games! As a racer, I can say that even the newer video games have very little in common with real life racing. Unless you've got a full motion rig, you don't get the feel of the tires, the feedback from the car, the sense of elevation, the g-forces. But I've found that sims are pretty useful to learn the layout of the track before you get out there in a real car.
And if you guys ever want to learn how to drive stick, I'd be happy to show you! It's pretty fun!
The Steering Wheel controller reminds me those Racing Arcade games a while back! You all know what I'm talking about.

It is amazing how low the percentage is of people that can't drive a manual. I live in an area with a lot of "mountain" people around and I know a lot of people that can't drive stick.
