  • Second part of the BMW Z3 restoration and modification.
    Water pump, Thermostat, Fan Housing, Auxiliary Belt, Control Arms / Suspension Arms, Suspension Towers, Drop Links all replaced along with Front Brake discs and Pads as well as rear Brake discs and pads.
    Car :- BMW Z3 1.9i 1997 Engine M44 naturally aspirated 4 cylinder in-line longitudinal front engine.

    Did you just put petroleum jelly on that rubber water pump seal?

      Hey @cloudoftime thanks for the comment, yeah it is and yip you are absolutely correct to pull me up on this after doing a bit of research you shouldn't use this on normal rubber seals, it's an old school mechanics trick and my dad is old school 🤣 , in his defence though most rubber seals in engines are made to withstand any kind of perishing from petroleum etc but you are 100% correct , I can only learn from others , much appreciated 😜

    I bet that car would have started without doing all that work.
    A new battery and fresh gas and that would have made you look more like a proficient mechanic and not a wanna be.
