I really appreciate these sorts of videos; Transparency is great as this shows people who want to get into content creation the level of work you put in and the reward you can get from it. Also, people can see the quality of the work you do, and some probably use that as a reason to hire you for things they need doing.

Absolutely love this video. It was this video last year that made me start to think about my CZcams journey, that and a diary for my mental health.
There is no one doing it like you with the professionalism and honesty approach! I will be lucky to hit 700subs in my first 12months and the amount of time I have lost is unreal but tbh I don’t care. You should be very proud of what you have achieved this year. Including what you have taught others!

I’m a handyman and I’m keen to create for CZcams. I just can’t get my head around the technical stuff, i.e who’s been watching, how many views and so on. Baring in mind that I Only use an IPhone.

Nice one Nick admitting to earning money from CZcams is not a crime and maybe an enabler for other aspiring Sparkies to start out on this as a side line to their Business
Not bad - but the amount of work that goes into it is like a full time job on its own
Interesting that the view duration looks to be 30% going up to 70% for a good video. Figures for my videos are about 20% below those values. I assume the revenue is driven mostly by the watch duration as that looked to be relatively consistent across the 3 years, but the number of views always showed an increase. Hope you and your family have a good Christmas and all the best for 2024.

How does CZcams premium membership affect creators income? I don't see ads, so I don't see how you (or any other creator) can get paid ad revenue for my views

Nick, can you explain if CZcams offer different rewards based on advert intensity.... as in advert placement within your video ie start, half way or the end... whether or not you can skip or have to play the whole bloody advert. Do you get different revenue if the ads are skipped.?

Good video mate, do you know what category your channel falls under? I think ‘education’ and finance are the highest paying RPM.
Well done, I really like your channel compared to the likes of Artisan but it seems like a lot of work for not much return. If you enjoy it then good on you. How many hours a week do you think you spend on average youtubing?
Is YouTuBe revenue tax declarable? And hence can you offset the costs of equipment etc
This is a good point, however I am almost certain that YT Channels like 'Joe Blogs' use View Bots to artificially inflate his 'popularity' and ego. I've called him out on this on a number of occasions. I saw a recent video he posted which clocked up 100K+ Views in a matter of a few days.
Stay true to yourself and grow organically.

I find it amazing how CZcams pay so little for shorts. I get the revenue share thing and stuff but damn that revenue sucks. CZcams need to sort their s**t out!
I've done 6m views this year and made almost £31k. Not a big d**k contest of course, but it just shows the gap between long and short content 😮
