    GJ, thank you very much for your videos. I write comments very rarely, but your analysis is absolutely brilliant and deserve to be praised. I was watching this video with my mouth wide open. This was a magnificent game. I wonder how human thought has gone SO FAR and we still have wars, racism and other bestial things in our World.
    One more time: THANK YOU SO MUCH. Please, continue!

    To me, this game looked like a very silly aggressive blitz game, but with the Danish Gambit, you have to realize how one miscalculation or inaccuracy leads to an easy exchange and endgame-advantage scenario for black. Great video.

      @@evneetbajaj3215 1. Bxd6+ cxd6
      2. Qe8+ Rxe8 (or 2. ...Bxe8)
      3. gxe8=Q#
      the reason 1. Bxd6+ isn't the correct mating sequence is because black can still defend with Ne7 or Qe7

    • @guillaumelecam9412
      @guillaumelecam9412 Před 4 lety

      NE7 is defending because there is black Queen king and bishop c5 which are defending e7 as well as white Queen Re1 and Bd6 wich are attacking and After exchanging on e7 bd6xNe7 bc5xbe7 qe2xbe7 qh4xqe7 re8xqe7 kf8xre7 the black is up the exchange. And black bishop cannot be captured because of the black checkmate qxh2# but i think that is a good move for white because he is taking freely a pawn and avoiding black to have draw with Nf2+

    Instead of 10 -Ng4 play -Nh7 then 11 -Re7 saving the rook and knight and then black is up a piece since white has already given away one knight.
    If my brief analysis is correct then 9. Nxf7 was a risky move which would lose to a computer.

      11. -Re7 is impossible, due to check. The black king would have to move before Re7.

  • @terminataroma1
    @terminataroma1 Před 9 lety +3

    Great video. I love this opening. Very agressive. However, I do not understand why Black can’t just take on f2 with the Bishop (on minute 5:22) and give a check to the White King, instead of capturing f2 with the Knight. If Bxf2, White’s best move is to capture with the Rook on f2, but then the Black Queen will capture that Rook, delivering a check, and White is now in a world of trouble. Moreover, if White doesn’t take with the Rook but moves the King to the h1 square, it will end up losing the Queen. Call me crazy, but I just don’t see why Nxf2 is an “obvious move” as you state.
    In my opinion, this is how it would all play out:
    1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.c3 dxc3 4.Bc4 Nf6 5.Nf3 Bc5 6.Nxc3 d6 7.O-O O-O 8.Ng5 h6 9.Nxf7 Rxf7 10.e5 Ng4 11.e6 Qh4 12.exf7+ Kf8 13.Bf4 (Bxf2+ 14.Rxf2 Qxf2+ 15.Kh1 Qxf4 -threatening mate in one, so Qe2 is not playable by White- 15.g3 Qxc4 -and White has no more bishops left-). Black is winning here, and White is hopelessly lost. White could go on and exchange Queens on the d5 square, but it will still be down on material in a position where its attack has lost a lot of steam.
    On the other hand, if White were to play Kh1 after Bxf2+, this would happen:
    13. … Bxf2+ 14.Kh1 Nxh2 (White cannot capture the Black Knight with its Bishop, otherwise it is mate in one once the Black Bishop moves to g3) 15.Rxf2 Ng4+ (discovered check, and White cannot cover the attack with its Bishop due to the checkmate that would come with Qxh2) 16. Kg1 Qxf2+ 17.Kh1 Qxf4 (threatening mate in one) 18.g3 Qxg3 19.Qe2 Nf2+ and White is forced to trade its Queen for the Black Knight. So this is even worse for White.
    Am I missing something here? I am by no means an expert, but merely a chess enthusiast here. Hopefully you can prove me wrong.

    • @terminataroma1
      @terminataroma1 Před 9 lety +2

      Sorry, my bad. I just spotted another line which is great for White and that I didn’t see up until now.
      If Bxf2, the following could also happen:
      13.Bf4 (Bxf2+ 14.Kh1 Nc6 15.Bxd6+ c7xd6 16.Qxd6+ Qe7 17.Rfd1 Bd7) And I am out of ideas. I think it’s equal, but who knows. Both sides could definitely fight on, but it is dificult to asses which side is better. I still think that taking on f2 with the Black Bishop is the best move for Black, mainly because Black is up in material although in a bad position. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

    Hi Gunjan, great video, but can you please explain why black gave up the whole rook after white played pawn to e6 instead of moving rook to e7 blocking any discovered checks and only giving up a minor peace (a knight on g4)? afterwards black could focus his attack on the e6 pawn perhaps by playing c6 d5 Bxe6 or things like that, but after only giving up the g4 knight material will be balanced and i don't see any forced wins for the white (ok white has a better position)

    • @psrikant1342

    Another way to play this line ( also the line I mostly see, when somone dear´s to play this gambit, it a nice and good to know : 1.e4 - e5.2.d4 - exd4.3.c3 - dxc3.4.Bc4 - and now cxb2. White have giving up 3 pawn´s for well nothing.. But after 4.Bc4 - cxb2.5.Bxb2 - ... White have to bishop´s that attack the Black kingside. In the loong turn, White have to attack in almost all of he´s move´s, as Black has the advantage that he have won 3 pawns. POISEN GAMBIT Anyway... hahahaha Be carefull with it, it easy to run in to truble with it, both as White and as Black.... :-)
