What about the one that just disappears and leaves you to die?
sayswice lol
Falls asleep in the lobby
Lmao omg đđłđł this is so real for me it's not even funny
Literally had our instructor ditch us in post conference
ClipperMaidOfTheSeas we only ever saw our instructor at post conference. She was literally Houdini in scrubs đŻ
We call our instructor the ânurse ninjaâ because sheâs always quietly sneaking up on us then yells, âhand-hygiene!â
I chuckled
Ours would walk out of the room in front of us, try the sanitizer, find it empty, resolve out-loud to make a bee line to the closest sanitizer station they pass next, but look at us behind them not getting sanitizer out of the empty station and write us up for not gelling.
Lmaooooooo
Hahaha..this is so truee
âCode clean!!!!â đđđ
The Supporter is a blessing
Dhara Patel yes my clinical instructor this semester is like that she is such a sweet heart and she actually helps when the nurses leave you hangin lol
I've heard that they are out there... but I believe that as much as I believe in unicorns.
I'm in my first semester of our nursing classes & my clinicals instructor is a BLESSING. She is the only reason I haven't already dropped lmao
Yes they are. My Supporter Clinical Instructor and I attend the same church. I always go to her after church and hug her even though she taught me 12 years ago. A student never forgets the Supportive Instructor.
Also rare
You forgot the Lazy one who canât be bothered to show up đ€Šđœââïž
I had one of those and when she did she was a real bitch
HAHAHAHA!!!!!
yes!! or shows up late and grades your papers a month later and has to push back due dates because of the entire unorganized clinical!!
He didnt for get it, they just didnt show up for the video!
this!!!!!!!
My current instructor has me crying everyday and then follows up with a hug. I call her a spiky pillow.
Ern Era sour patch instructor đ
đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Spiky pillow đđ€Ł
That was my entire childhood đ€Łđđ€đ
Crying,how?
Micromanagers always say they donât wanna micromanage... but... lmao
It's because we DON'T want to micromanage.... but you forced us. đ
The supporter đđđ that was my very first clinical instructor for Fundamentals. She set the tone for the rest of my schooling. I feel like I tackled every challenge by remembering her encouragement. She even gave our clinical group folding clipboards and nurse badge clips. She was the sweetest. I graduate next year and I want to send her a big bouquet when that happens.
Hey! Any updates!?
Awwwww
Mine is like a mix of the supporter and the excited one I love her!! I'm in Fundies right now and feel like I got it pretty good so far :).. Pharm and med/surg are next semester.. Pray for me.. Please?
My funds clinical professor was AMAZING! loved her!
well?
Don't forget the former military nursing instructors who are drill sergeants. They have you in fear during every clinical situation.
And then say âyouâre not ready, you are too nervous all the time and need more trainingâ
đ
lmaooo "the spy" had me weak! my clinical professor was exactly like that.
The spy/ ninja has to put on the list xD
Were you one of my students?? That's totally međđ
I think if I will ever in my life become a teacher I will be the strict and spy one xD
Even some colleagues spy when you are on the unit đ
You did forget the lazy one who doesnât forgive a flying eff what you do and can really be found ever
Rarely* gosh darn spell check ruining my joke!!!
Lmaoo "the spy" reminds me of some nursing supervisors
YES!!! TOTALLY!!
Hi Kimmy. I see that you also follow Nurse Blake. This guy is so hilarious.
đđđ
When I was a bedside nurse, I "became" the kind of nurse my patient needed me to be. Sometimes it was strict, sometimes supportive and yes, sometimes the spy.
Now that I am an instructor, I try to do the same with the students. Some students need structure, some need a cheerleader, some need to be sent home.
Need to be send home?đł
Exactly! No two patients are the same and neither are nursing students, so it would make total sense to handle things like this.
Love it
Exactly. You are a true leader
Ok boomer!
"Your under my license" đ”
Omg the pressure is real when they say that!!!
Your under my license !!!! DONT YOU DARE FORGET THIS !!!!!
My favorite clinical instructor in nursing school was The Spy. I swear she would show up behind you and not make a sound. Actually startled me a few times!
That is me to my nurse assistant coworkers hehe
Had a clinical teacher who did that. She was by the book. Dont be late·····. She was really cool though!
My preceptor took a nap in an empty patient room once...
Makayla Cochran I feel her.
The "TALK to your patient" is so on point!
Iâm not even in the field and I cracked up at the spy hahahaha
I'm one of those instructors that is supportive and enthusiastic. I really love what I do! â„ïž
Bless you.
How about the one always asking questions and putting you on blast!! My clinical instructor was the strict one, the care plan one and spy/ micro manager all in one. Not supportive at all. She was always ready to fail or send you home. Total nightmare đđ©đ© Thank God thatâs over. I cried everyday we had clinical.
ShoppingBunny i had that too!! I would have my stomach in knots and very damn day!
Tell me about it!!! Awful some people shouldnât teach!! Horrible
I'm the Excited and Supporter clinical instructor. I've never disappeared on my students or staff nurses.
You are appreciated!!!
Wish I had you as a clinical instructor! đč
â.....and then insert the foley.â
Definitely thought it was Professor Supporter winkinâ for the go-ahead
Lol! My first semester clinical instructor checked our socks!!!
Sandie M mines too it irritated me so much lol Iâm like the patient is not looking at my damn socks lol geeesh
Yet the actual nurses on the floor got nail polish on, different colored socks their hair all over the place lol
@Marina right lol the nurse in my clinical last week had on bright green nail polish lol
Marina Syndulla thatâs because we donât care lmao
Not to mention tattoo sleeves
I hope I get good clinical instructors in the future!
Amen girl
From your fingers to God's ears
My clinical instructor is The Supporter lol she is so sweet I just love her I have two more clinicals left this semester thank the lord â€ïž lol
Wish I had one of those
You forgot the sabotager the one that intentionally tries to screw you up or start fires where there was nothing wrong.
What about the instructor that drills you with question after question about your ptâs history and meds lol
âMake sure itâs 5 pagesâ lmaoooo our careplans are 30-60 pages
Wtf how
And also...why?!! My favorite clinical instructor says that pages and pages of care plans shows a lack of critical thinking. What is the priority diagnosis and interventions? Not giving the original commenter a hard time because it's not her fault, but 30 - 60 pages is a ridiculous expectation!
Mine were around 20 pages, and we had one for each site that we did clinicals
@@aprilhudecek4649 your actual care plans are this long? I am genuinely curious about how one can make a care plan that long. How many nursing diagnoses are required? We have to write a nursing process record each week that's about 15 pages, but there are charts included in that page count - it's not 15 pages of solid text. I don't don't that what you're saying is required by your program; I just wonder why in the world they are doing this and what is actually required.
Im in LVN school and that is one thing we donât to do. Whew... 30-60 pages??!!
I had a micromanager who would yell at you in front of patients/staff. A extremely strict /micromanager who was so rude and would make students cry , and then two amazing supportive clinical instructors.
5 pages?! Mine were always at least 20 đ. Also, you forgot the passive aggressive clinical instructor who tells you that you will never be a nurse with a smile on her face.
I was blessed to have a "supporter" for my first clinical, but "strict" for my current clinical. đŁđŁđŁ 10 months left of nursing school.đ©đŸâđ DECEMBER CAN'T COME FAST ENOUGH!!!
You got this!!
You're almost there!
You got this!!!
@@emilynewton1921 Girl 8 more weeks now! Yes I dođ€Ș
2 months!!! you got this! we proud of ya
THE SPY LMAOOO. youâre hilarious!
I am not a nurse but Blakeâs videos keep me laughing. He is so awesome and needs an academy award for his acting đ„
Lol I had the excited instructor with a large dose of supporter this clinical rotation and she was so wonderful!
Father, BLESS ME WITH THR SUPPORTER AND EXCITED CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR, lol đđŸđđŸ
Iâm in CNA training and my instructors are both definitely the supporters. Theyâre so nice, and Iâm lucky to have them.
This reminds me, I have to do my care plan lol!
Mezmuree yup I have to do mines too lol due Monday đ
&%&&!@ careplans! The most useless %^&
My clinical instructor once said to me "you re never going to be a nurse" . She was right. I have my nurse degree, but i am working hard to have my own business and i am happy. Perhaps one day i will send her a bar of dark chocolate to thank her.
I'm confused since dark chocolate has lead and cadmium.
I'm gonna have to send ya homeđđđđ they don't play
You are so funny! ..thank God nursing didnât rob you of your sense of humor! I love your hoodie, Nurses support their young,â do you sell them?
Blake, thank you so much for your gift of humor. It is so needed by all of us and so appreciated! Nurses supporting Nurses! I have laughed so hard when viewing all of your presentations. Keep up the great work.
(Spy) I was setting up an IV and my instructor was right behind me. I turned and slipped on the floor from fright lol
Omg so the wink đ is a universal term??? I just thought it was my instructor....lol she always gives us fun ways to remember things.
Ik I got so excited
Please expalin the Wink?
We use it in vet med too
@@lowkeyhighnote3741 what does tge wink mean? Please help me. I am a 2nd year med student and I don't know the meaning yet
@@411foryou for us at least, it's when the urethra like unclenches im pretty sure. I dont know the professional meaning. But lets say you're working on a mare and need a urine sample, the wink is when you can see they are about to pee because the urethra is "winking" I hope this made some sense
Truth! I have had almost every one of them!!
Rachel Hawkins lol same
These are perfect examples! I remember my days back in nursing school. I had one of each of these. Good memories!
Anyone who says "I don't want to micro manage or anything," really, really loves micro managing everything. đ
Thank God mine his semester was a combo of the supportive one & the excited one! Ahhh, today was my last clinical for the semester & it was so bittersweet! Iâm gonna miss having her as my instructor SOOOO MUCH next semester đ«â€ïž
I'm so lucky to have a supportive instructor for clinical! She's wonderful
I can never forget the experience I had with my LPN instructor, first day of clinicals and I woke late and didn't have time to iron my scrubs or take a bath. That didn't end well, right in front of my classmates he called me out. I was so embarrassed, luckily the RN program that I'm currently in I don't have to worry about scrubs in this pandemic, lol.
Haha love this!! I am totally the supporter type as a clinical instructor. I just love how cute and nervous they are and I do anything I can to help them survive their day! đȘ
The excited one and supporter gave me so much life this past year đ
Blake, dear, you have way too much energy!! I love ur videos. "The Spy" one cracked me up.
The Supporter def helped me So blessed i had her during my journeyđ
My clinical instructor was a Godsend! She was thee absolute best!!! The world needs more people like her â„ïž
I had ONE AMAZING (out of like 4) clinical instructors and they took the time to explain the charting the lab values EVERYTHING it was amazing
What about the '' I didn't even want to be your mentor anyway! I'm waaay too busy for you" haha
Shoulda cut into a small clip with no one there and confused students looking lost and wondering around looking for their instructor đ đ€Ł "hey, have you seen....?
So funny! I just handed in my last care plan.
Jade B you can do it!!!
@@jadeb3737 samee
The "Spy" Instructors have me cracking up. There are so many times that I have had instructors creep up on me.
I am thankful for the supporter I have this semester. She is the clinical instructor who is every student dream about !!!
Fantastic video!!!! you truly gave me a burst of laughter lol...thanks for this video.
And yes there are the lazy ones too who leave students drowning.
A great and supportive clinical instructor makes a big difference and helps calm down the nerves of a clinical day!
My first school was the strict one. My second school was the supporter.
I was so shocked I cried. I kept over thinking many things and broke down when I received a B- because that was the environment my first school cultivated.
After I didn't pass the module for being a literal point off in pharm (the pass was a 90. I got an 89.7%. I understand. They do it for the push and to motivate their students.) I told myself I quit. I took several months off to collect myself because I wasn't healthy. I'm in my "technically" mid-twenties give or take a couple higher numbers. Sleepless nights, stress, professor with the ego of a person who thought they were God's gift to nursing kind, a campus that promotes an ever nurse for themselves mentality, but then become Irate when the student's don't have that air of togetherness, plus a no asking questions environment because you can "find it in the book", I found my "true" school.
I had to start over because I entered a different country and for whatever reason they didn't transfer credits over, plus the program was longer by an additional two months, but, sweet peas, it was the mercy I needed. My instructor, God bless her; she hasn't forgotten what it was like to be a student nurse.
She dishes the tough love with a helping heap of support and she's understanding if there is something like a death in the family. Unlike my other institution which LITERALLY stated during orientation, a f*****g copy of the death certificate must be turned in and included in your file in order for that absence to be counted as excused. Toxic on all levels. Many students ended up dropping by block 2 of 5.
My current institution doesn't have the same high pedigree and resources as my past institution, but, the humanity they deliver to their students is on par and more valuable than a name brand.
On top of that? They have a 98% first time NCLEX pass rate. Both for LPN and RN (their affiliate college). I'm almost done with my program, just 3 more months. Instead of feeling defeated I feel like I can get though this with "healthy" nursing school stress. While advancing toward my true goal.
Don't give up guys. I kniw my comment was a book. Even if you have a strict instructor, findng that one support syatem a friend in the course, males the difference between and anchor and a paper weight. It helped me with my first institution before I left. Know that it will be worth it towards the end. You didn't choose the wrong profession. This was meant to and will be tour new hunting ground. We just have to get through the obstacles.
I'm a new nurse and just went through all of this stuff. Blake, you have nailed everything I've gone through.
I have a mix of the excited one and supporter and as a first year nursing student it is a blessing that woman keeps me so confident đđ
I'm pretty excited the way you are teaching
what about the one that could barely bother to show up but expects you to chart everything down to how many times the patient blinks and then rips apart your care plan because you forgot (characteristics of urine....but the patient is ambulating on their own and just told you they peed at X o'clock)
My instructors were all supporters...thank God for them..
So much honesty. Subscribed!
I love this guy!!
"The spy" mode during quizzes and examinations. đ
I love the excited one! And lol at the spy!!!
U nailed it Blake đ đ
Nurse Blake you are awesome!!
Youâre videos are so accurate. Flashing me back to 17 years ago. đ
Been watching your videos and you keep it real. Keep doing what you do man.
This is so on point đ had every single one
I'm not in nursing school... Did CNA for a few years... I already delt with a few nurses that were like this... Micromanage one just brought back good old memories...
I'm in nursing school at the moment, I just found your channel and I love it! Can't wait to be a part of this!
welcome to the gang i hope you'll enjoy
I just finished my first clinical term and thank GOD I had the supporter!
My instructors were always "the supporter" when you're a male. Take advantage of it. You'll see it throughout your nursing career. Good luck!
Can you pleeeeease get your own tv show already! I just found you on CZcams and you are sooo hilarious but so accurate at the same time! Being an RN is such a stressful job but you make it possible to laugh about it. There is nothing good on tv anymore but I would definitely watch you if you had your own show! đ
The spy has me rolling!! đ€Łđ€Ł I have great instructors. đ
I'm binge watching all your videos....love em so much đđđ
Your videos came into my recommendations. They are awesome!!đđđ
This sure has me remembering and laughing, ! Iâm in my seventies now but still recall the weird things my pulse did when I heard the footsteps (she wore heels !) of our practicum supervisor coming down the hall at three in the morning!, we had better have read all the patients files and have them memorized cause there would be a test starting at 3:02AM!
Lmao đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ Blake this is your funniest video yet. I was dying during the spy one
You forgot the toxic one who said you wonât ever succeed! Iâm not a nurse, but a speech therapist. I wish I had more supporters. Iâve been practicing for 2 years now. Awesome video!
I'm literally in the breakroom at work and almost spit out my lunch because I was laughing so hard at the spy.
đ«đđ€Ł I get excited every time u post a video đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Is anyone else a total 15 year old and laughed when he said pink socks? No? Just me?
Iâll see myself out.
Ight I'm head out
Relate muchđ thanks Nurse Blakeđđ€
Love love this!! I think I have been each one of these depending on the day. LOL! You need to make one on Rapid Response Team
Mix the excited and supportive one đ
I'm in Clinicals right now and I have the supporter! (And also excited too đ)
Nurse Blake you are so accurate with this video.
i got flashbacks from my catheter critique when you did the supporter haha
Bless nurses â€
I love your videos! They get better and betterđ.
The supporter is literally my clinical instructor to the t!! Theyâre a blessing and I wish all of tr were like that as the instructor really affects your learning for clinicals!!
Itâs so funny , I had to watch it again ! Gosh is so accurate .
Youâre so funny! I love this video!
âLook for the winkâ dying đđđđ
