I first heard opera when I was 18, way back in 1958. I first heard Pavarotti in 1990. No matter how many times I have heard him sing, he always grabs me. It is something in his voice and tone. I have heard many opera singers, non gives me goose bumps like Pavarotti.

The words are actually a prayer; the "Hail, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee..." that is recited in the Catholic faith. It was one of Schubert's most popular pieces. Pavarotti gives this song the power and subtlety that it calls for. Moves me to tears every time I hear it.

Watching this in 2023. As far as I'm concerned not only the most beautiful piece of music ever written, but this gift from God himself Luciano Pavarotti, was born to sing such a song. Rest in peace Maestro,❤🌹.

Pavarotti was the grandmaster of singing. Even for me, who mainly listens to stuff like DevilDriver, Slipknot, Metallica, Amon Amarth, Slayer, Arch Enemy etc it´s hard to hold back the tears when listening to this god-given voice. I might not understand a single word, he could sing about how to paint your walls the most efficient way and it would give me goosebumps. His voice is magical and the best i´ve heard so far.

Damn. Nice reaction!! I can't watch this or Nessun Dorma without tearing up. Partly because I am half Italian, and feel so proud and really love the use of language. But shit, Pavarotti has got something about him that still spellbinds years later!
