Amazing...I feel so honored that I know you and you are a champion. When I sat next to you at Weber and we would talk about the Kenyan runners like they were invincible and today you beat them on your first try!!!
If you get the chip times from BAA, and do a little math, you can discover some fascinating facts about Sarah Sellers' performance in the 2018 Boston Marathon. The first thing to be apparent is her negative split time, she ran faster during the second half of the race. Dig a bit deeper will reveal with the 5k split times is how she managed her pace. She was more or less around 19:00-19:48 per 5k until completing 30k. However, from that point on, Sarah ran faster and faster toward the finish line. For the final 2.1558k she was clocked at 6.13 minutes per mile, while the winner, Desi Linden was clocked at 6.48 minutes per mile. Sarah had a fantastic "kick" after running for 2:44!!! This is something the running world should be aware of. for if Sarah had not decided to start the race running so slowly, she would have blown Desi Linden out of the water. Cheers!!!
Damn, they are both so modest. Even the husband. The guy is in residency, can run a low 5 minute mile on a 6-mile course and he's saying he's slow. That is not easy!
Yeah they're both pretty crazy for doing ANYTHING other than sleeping when not working those kind of hours, but they're running marathons. I feel lazy lol
Let's see if she will become a Pro now...north american, fast runner (and also very pretty I should mention). For sure a lot of invitations are coming .

She was so generous with her time. That was a lot of questions thrown at someone so tired!
