    When I tried doing this the first time the cord on the middle right ended up being way to short, I couldn’t even finish the pattern it was to short. I triple checked the length and I got it all right, I ended up having to take out the entire thing and I measured each cord again and they were all accurate. The amount of cord length they have in the video doesn’t seem right. Compared to mine hers is so much longer and I don’t know why. I also triple checked if I did anything wrong and I’m 100% sure I didn’t do anything wrong. So I don’t know what went wrong. I’m really frustrated because I spent 1 and a half hours on this just to have to take it out. So if anyone can tell me what I did wrong it would be much appreciated

      You may have used a different size rope... the bigger gauge of rope you use, you need to increase the length.. thats my best guess??

    Thanks for the tutorial. Love this but, I have one suggestion. the 1 pc should be longer than 180cm. I find it comes out shorter than the other pieces
    and not long enough to match the fringe at the end.

      You're welcome Tamara! Thank you so much for your feedback. I have placed the cord used to hold the other cords behind and tucked it in one of hitches @6:09 but I do agree on your tip, just need to figure out which cord should be longer.

      @@SilentKnot I believe its the one attached to the rod. the one you have in materials as 1pc 180cm. :)

    I am new to macrame and went to make this pattern. I find it very difficult to follow as it has no voice or even anything written to let beginners know what kind of knots to do. I would think for a beginner pattern, you would write something on the video to explain the best way to do this knot. I had to google and find a different video that explained it. I did make your pattern though.

      Hi Patricia, thank you so much for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear that the tutorial was not up to your expectation. I did this tutorial last year when I was starting out and did not have an outline on how to create a proper tutorial. Nonetheless, I just wanted to show my process and how I made this macrame angel. These days, I make sure that I put texts/instruction. Thank you for your understanding and I'm happy to know you were able to make it.

    How long does this take once you have the cords ready do you think ?

    • @SilentKnot
      @SilentKnot  Před 2 lety

      Hello! I’d say 2-3hrs for beginner project but once you’re used to doing the double half hitch knots, you may be able to finish in an hour.

    Would you have to increase the length of the 12 wing cords if they were of a slightly larger Diameter? say 5mm or 6mm. if so by how much?

    • @SilentKnot
      @SilentKnot  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello! Thank you for watching. 🧡 Yes I would. I would try adding half of the needed length. In this case, 180cm instead of 120cm. There may be slightly more excess but it will help me decide the length and shape I like for the wings. Hope this helps. 🙂
