    Japan's 2nd stringer really improved a lot. Last year in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, they also faced with USA's 2nd stringers, but they lost in 5 sets and there were in between games where Sekita, Ran, And Yuki are subbed in and off the court. But this time, there's totally no Yuki, Ran, Yuji, Sekita in the court and the 2nd stringers worked really hard to win against one of the powerhouse, USA! Even if it's USA's 2nd stringers, they're still part of Team A and they are strong too.

      @@karladriangandionco both have a lot of fans but I'd say Japan had more fans whom also were cheering for the US at the same time. Japan team is very popular here in the Philippines for several years now, obviously because we think they're good, but it started from how Haikyuu inspired a lot of the new wave of young players in the country, girls crushing over everyone in the team, and trending plays/clips of them playing online (esp Haikyuu references). US is popular too, also because we think they are good too, but because of Shoji reacting to our men's volleyball team (at their peak during the 2019 SEA Games) and clearly expressed how he'd love to play for the loud Filipino crowd. I'd say Micah Christenson is fairly popular too. Both teams evolved to be the 2 most popular nt teams in the Philippines right now. The history of the Philippines can be divided into four major periods: 1) before Spanish rule (before 1521), 2) during Spanish rule (1521-1898), 3) during American rule (1898-1945), and 4) after independence (after 1946).

    • @NootsaraTomKomOfficial
      @NootsaraTomKomOfficial Před 15 dny +14

      Ogawa is actually Japan’s 3rd string setters. But since his defense is so good, he becomes 2nd string Libero. Yamamoto is better than Ogawa by “experience” and “playing time” since he’s the starting Libero. Ogawa has better hands and can set better than Yamamoto. But honestly, I think Ogawa is just as good a defensive player as Yamamoto. Japan has good defense regardless of who plays Libero. Even their middles are good defensive players.

      @@NootsaraTomKomOfficial Yea I really wanna know what goes into japan's training methods. Every single japanese player I know has such a good ball control and mastery of all fundamentals. Even my friend from uni is from japan and never played on an official team back home, he has some of the best ball control and text book perfect technique compared to some of the athletic players in my uni.
      All the olympic players excel at their position, but it seems japan excels at having players who really can play any position
