I really miss mine. It had a personality of a cat once it warmed up to hand feeding and loved to play around. With treats it did a few tricks happily but the potential to learn more was always there. Spunky lil dude
Red tail cats look like heads with fins, my dad had a wild channel catfish he caught when I was 2 or 3, I named him Gary. Gary was given to “The Ocean Floor” in AZ a couple years later, my dad and the owner had an agreement that he’d hold onto Gary and he could comeback anytime to scoop him up, Gary was given his own ID “Gary the catfish” and a $500 price tag to deter people from buying him just to eat him but if he sold…he sold. We had an issue finding a tank and space/room big enough to hold Gary, and a separate tank for our other fish. Last time I saw Gary was 4-6 years ago, I went back the next year and he was either sold or he died. Gary had to have been older than 15 and at least 45lbs, he HAD to have his own tank because he insisted on eating everything that moved. Legendary catfish

I just lost my red tail shark Rex I had since September of 2020 and he passed May 7 2021 seen him grown from 1in to 4.3in I thank him for all the good memories and moments and joy he brought me good times R.I.P Rex
I think 99% of catfish look cute when they’re small, the smaller they are the cuter they get. Case example: a full grown Wels Catfish vs a Pygmy corydoras.
Catfish grow rate is up to how much food it can shove into its mouth 😂 I have mine exploded in size in less than a month so I bring him back to pet store because it out grow my other fish and could possibly eat them if given another week I'm not taking any chance

I have a 4 year old platnum. Hes 4 foot 3 inches. Cant wait till hes 5 foot 150LB. All hes eatten are feeder fish (platys, mollys, swordtails, my never ending mass of convict cichlids. Not a single goldfish ever. I refuse) and frozen foods and pellets. Hes a spoiled baby. Likes head rubs and belly scratches. Hes like my aligator gar that way
For those who bark without knowledge, if the redtail really lived in this bucket with no filter or nothing it would turn grey due to poor conditions, u can clearly see is healthy
RedTail is one of my favourite fish. I bought a small redtail And he grow really fast. But one day, he ate my dad's arowana that cost him a lot of money. Then, my dad asked me if I want to throw the redtail because he ate the arowan. I said yes. Becaus At that time I don't care about the red tail anymore. But soon I regret 😭😭. Pls always love your pets. You gonna miss them
