Ever night he remembers Breakdown being by his side, fighting along with him, he also remembers how Breakdown always helped him buff and fixed his paint job for him. Breakdown was the one he loves most, and he lost him. That's why knockout was so depressed after he died, and also, after the episode were Breakdown dies, knockout isn't shown for a while,it's problably because he was crying in his private quarters. He never got to say goodbye, or fully show him his love. Breakdown is gone now, and in a better place, and knockout is probably happy for him now, and he might see him soon.

Honestly? As the show went on, I grew to like the decepticons more than I did the autobots. And knowing that they're the underdogs (because good always triumph in the end), I ended up actively rooting for them.
