Started to slip 4-6 gears so I figured, no better time to upgrade!
Have you dynoed this yet? wodnering if you could get the torqque limited and boost ramped over 5krpm to make most HP/less torque?
I have not dyno’d yet.
Will likely custom tune at some point and get the torque and boost curves dialed in.
Can you remove the obd adapter after flashing or do you have to keep it connected to keep the map on?
Yes you can remove the OBD adapter after done flashing
So those stage 1 and stage 2 maps did u buy them as additions? (And also the E30, E50 maps etc)
Or does BM3 include it when u buy the license? Because I saw they said they provide some free maps or whatever maps that says free u can use them.

You get like one free OTS map download. Then for an additional $100 you can download the map bundle which gives you more. And then you can do custom maps as well.
Oh I see, thanks for reply. So if I don’t get the bundle for $100 extra I cannot do custom maps?
And for custom maps is there some to choose from or do I have to contact a tuning shop to like create one for me?
you can get as many custom maps as you want to pay a tuner for. Those are going to cost at least $500 depends on options
I'm curious what happens if it gets lost. Can you buy an ecu from BMW? I mean what do you do at the dealer? Say you lost it? It's probably like $5k for the ecu and then about few K to get it reprogrammed
No idea. I imagine you could buy a new one from BMW. Dont need to give them a reason. Or, I have seen used ones for sale that pop up periodically. Just need to get coding done.
did u put back in ur ecu and then connected the car battery and then tuned the car? Im going to do the same with my car but i dont want to brick it.
Correct - reinstall, reconnect battery, then tune.

You need a valve controller to open valves 100%. I have a video on my channel on how to install a Dahler Valve Controller.
After I install my unlocked dme back can I drive the car without tuning it first, then tune it after.
Yes. You can drive the car without tuning it. The unlock is still the same ECU, just jailbroken so that you have the ability to tune it. But it comes back to you with the same stock tune that was initially on it when you sent it out.

I have a question, so I have a 2021 BMW X7 M50i and I just bought catless downpipes will it work if I run it in stage 2?
Yes, it will be fine on stage 2.

Yes, it should clear codes

Correct. And BM3 puts you in diagnostic mode automatically when it connects to the car.
@@accelerated_motion ah ok. I was terrified of flashing because bm3 doesn't tell you if the DME is unlocked. I just wanted to be sure before I potentially bricked my DME. I downloaded the mhd app which has the unlock check on it. The only thing that's bugging me now is that the bm3 app says custom ROM is not detected.
@@iliketakingshowers I had that problem initially as well, but if you force it through, it will load the tune and then it will say CUSTOM ROM going forward.
No help with the wifi adapter here. Not sure why this shows up on my search. YT sucks.

They didn’t marry your BM3 to your VIN before it got unlocked!??? Ohhh nooooo
BM3 was married to my vin when I purchased it. I gave Euro Performance Center my registration key number and they tied it to my DME when it was unlocked. No issues.
