  • OJ Simpson died at the age of 76 after a battle with prostate cancer.
His athletic accomplishments were overshadowed in 1994 after the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman, outside of her Brentwood, California home.
The defense team led by the late Johnnie Cochran convinced the jury to acquit the Pro Football Hall of Famer.
Carl Douglas was also on OJ's legal team, he spoke with Roland Martin about what has been dubbed "The Trial Of The Century", the legacy of "Juice" and his friend Johnnie Cochran.

A genius of manipulation, without a doubt. He admitted he changed the pictures that were framed on Simpson's walls so the jury would see him differently. Simpson only had pictures of him with rich White people on his walls. Douglas and his team replaced them with pictures of him with Black people and a big painting that belonged to Johnny Cochran. This man is a thug who protected a murderer just because he was Black.

Very intelligent man. His respect for his late mentor Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. is so honorable. I can attest to the brilliant mind of Mr. Cochran. In 1996 or 1997, Mr. Cochran 'preached' a sermon at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit. The church I was actively attending at the time. He barely spoke of the O.J. case. If at all. I will never forget the Book of the Bible he spoke from: It was from the Book of Amos. His delivery was just astonishing. The fact that he rarely viewed his prepared text, simply floored me. He could have easily been a minister. He was truly a remarkable human being. May both men rest in peace.

People have a right to their own opinion about the OJ Simpson case, but I personally watched the trial every single day... it was my guilty pleasure....and they did not have an IOTA of evidence against OJ!
None of his blood was found at the sceneand none of the victims blood was found at his home.
A neighbor saw his car parked at his home at the time the prosecution said he was over at Nicole's house.
Nicole's neighbor saw four Latino looking men running from her place at the time her dark started barking wildly when they suspected the incident was taking place.
Furthermore, no murder weapons found and I say weaponS because the coroner stated more than one knife was used based on the cuts...some smooth, some not.
The prosecution was caught after it PLANTED evidence on the sock, doir handle on Bronco which was proven when EDTA a preservative used for DNA was found in the blood!
Furhman...a notoriously bad cop... committed perjury on the stand. The timeline was impossible... 30 minutes to commit double homicide, druve home, clean up and make it to the airport for a pre-planned business trip!
And their motive was insane...they say he killed these two people because Nicole refused to invite him to dinner after attending their daughter's dance recital!
In the words of the late great Johnny Cochran If It Don't Fit you must acquit! And NONE of what they presented fit.

The OJ Simpson trial is wholly-saturated with narrative about OJ being guilty that the vast majority of people no longer care about the facts. And the greatest miscarriage is that Nicole's and Ron's killers are still unknown and free.

      @christopherblack3102 Před 28 dny +2

      Gimme a break 🙄
OJ’s blood was found all over the crime scene, and in the Bronco. OJ left a blood trail leaving the crime scene, plus his size 12 bloody shoe prints, plus his extra large size bloody glove.
Ron and Nicole’s blood was found inside the Bronco.
Another of OJ’s gloves was found at his home with Ron and Nicole’s and OJ’s blood on it. There was a blood trail on OJ’s driveway and blood drops in his home. Plus socks with OJ and Nicole’s blood on them.
Hair samples that matched Nicole and Ron were found on a bloody cap, and on the gloves.
It’s impossible for a “ racist cop “ to have planted that mountain of evidence to frame OJ.

    • @kmyles8599
      @kmyles8599 Před 28 dny

@@christopherblack3102 That's a LIE. OJ's blood was NOT found at the murder scene! Where would the blood come from? Where was the wound that it leaked from?
The victims were cut...not OJ! Nicole was almost decapitated...so blood was flowing like a river. OJ couldn't have cleared or cleaned that amount off himself in the tight timelines they gave him, which was 30 MINUTES to drive there, commit double homicide, clean up, ditch his clothes and the multiple weapons, and get to LAX to catch his flight?
Furthermore the police through luminol all over Oj's white decorated home AND took his plumbing apart...and didn't find an OUNCE of blood anywhere. No blood from the victims at his home; none of his blood at Nicole's home; no eye witnesses; no weapons found! No blood in the Bronco!!! So if your theory is correct, that OJ's blood was all over the crime scene...why was NONE found inside or outside the Bronco? How did he get home? Float?
OJ voluntarily gave the prosecutors blood to test his DNA. He gave a specific amount, which a registered nurse recorded in a form. After Fuhrman's lies imploded they suddenly "found" a dab of blood on a sock and outside the Bronco on the door handle.
The problem was that JC checked the form and found that some of the blood left over from what OJ gave for testing was GONE.
So he demanded they test the sock and door handle to see if EDTA, a preservative for the blood was present.
And voila! EDTA was present so the blood had to come from the vials of blood OJ gave for testing...because HUMANS DON'T BLEED EDTA! So everyone knew it was dabbed and PLANTED to help save their WEAK CASE.
Dr. Henry Lee brought it home when he said the blood stain was IDENTICAL on the left and right side...and if a foot, ankle, leg was in the sock it would have blocked the transfer from one side to the other.

We saw him more as a sideline reporter who also was in movies and commercials. We saw him when he would make public appearances with his white wife, and we noticed how he never spoke on black issues. So he wasn’t a hero to a lot of us. O.J. was just lucky enough to have his trial in L.A.,which resulted in 8 of the 11 jurors being black. A lot of us were still upset over the Rodney King verdict. And lastly, Johnnie Cochran became a hero to a lot of us literally overnight due to that trial.

But because this was a pretty white woman - who stole a successful black man - -all those women were thinking was - looks good on you bitch - that showed through years later some of those jurors as much to admitted it

Cochran disliked the police as much as NWA did. One of the baddest lawyers to suit up for war in a courtroom as a trial lawyer Black or White, Mr. Johnny Cochran. May God be pleased with him and OJ Simpson who was acquitted of double murder and still looked at as a murderer. When the justice system works in White peoples favor it’s the best judicial system in the world, but when it works in a favor of Black people, it’s a flawed system that needs to be readjusted. I just had on a channel just now where the host were drilling the trial lawyer of Simpson demanding to know why hadn’t the trial been held in Santa Monica because there would’ve been a much much more whiter jury than LA and he would’ve most likely spent the rest of his life in prison. If that’s not a white supremacist way of looking at things, I don’t know what is. Basically, saying he would’ve been hung by an all white jury for the murder of Nicole and Ron. remember it was one of those towns outside of LA like Santa Monica, that acquitted the cops that beat Rodney King dam near to death. Plus, Black people weren’t cheering for OJ, we were cheering that white people were getting a taste of the justice system that we are subjected to on a daily with the injustice. OJ was a sellout to his community and once told his friend Al Collins that he can screw all the white women in the Klan because he’s not Black he’s OJ. He just was accepted back by Cam and Mase but if he was still on the other side with all the options he had before he probably would’ve did them like Michael Jordan did to Chamillionaire when he spent $15G for a Mj jersey and asked him to sign it, “F#*k Rap”.

      AND THERE IT IS!
Simpson was aware of who the perpetrators were, may even had been there, and attempted to intervene and failed, but didn't kill anyone.
Almost immediately after the news reports of the details on how the bodies of Brown-Simpson/Goldman were found, the word on the street in Los Angeles was that it was an illegal narcotics related crime.
      And I mean IMMEDIATELY!
Many years later when I actually had the time and interest to watch the available chronological reports, the trial and the subsequent commentaries here on CZcams and I came to my opinionated conclusion that if the prosecutors had discovered or better said revealed the illegal narcotics supplier's to Goldman and the other waiters who reportedly sold to Brown-Simpson and other patrons at the Mezza Luna restaurant you would find the murderers.
