    We interviewed Paul Heaver (the Han Vigilance player) recently, and he had a lot of positive things to say about his opponent Elizabeth and this event. Thanks for posting these games. They have been really entertaining.

      That's awesome! It was great to meet Paul. Unfortunately things did not go extremely well for him at the feature table, but he played great the entire event. The Han Vigilance deck was really cool to see.

      How much time did they have per round?
      If the last match wasn't so one sided, unlike the two previous... how do they both avoid the loss?

    The debate about “the right way to play” reminds me of sports debates, while I empathise that control mirrors maybe aren’t premium viewing, they are a viable way to play within the deliberate design of the game, so I get a bit tired of people trying to gatekeep. While I’m not a control player, if it speaks to you, why should I tell you it’s not fair or is boring?

    At 26:58 why didn't the Vader player use Vader's on attack trigger to also kill the Restored Ark as well? Was it just a misplay or was there something preventing it that I'm not seeing?

    I don't like the direction this game is going. We only have set one and mid range is none existence.
    This entire game revolved around removal, spark of rebellion, vigilance and restock.

    • @Next-GenGamingSC
      @Next-GenGamingSC  Před 25 dny +3

      Boba Green, Han Green and Luke Green are all very viable mid range strategies and have put up some good results. The meta for just one set has been surprisingly open, and there a lot of viable options right now.
      Unfortunately, a lot of the blue control matchups are hinging on the cards you mentioned.

    • @OpiumSamurai
      @OpiumSamurai Před 22 dny

      Aggro cleans out bad players/decks and then loses to competent control decks that don't draw dead. There's a reason there's hardly any Sabine's winning major tournaments.

    • @Next-GenGamingSC
      @Next-GenGamingSC  Před 20 dny

      @@OpiumSamurai Solid point. To be fair though, Sabine had a real chance to win this tournament. There were three Sabine decks in the Top 8, and only one Sabine player stayed to play for the trophy. None of the Sabine decks would have played each other in the Top 8. The semi-final match of Jordan vs Garrett was actually going to be a quarter-final match. I am not sure if you have watched that match yet, but the Sabine deck had a very strong chance of beating Iden had Garrett not forgot about Childsen.
      With all of that being said, this is not to take anything away from Jordan, because he played fantastic all day and was extremely well prepared for the event. My point is just that Sabine had a real shot at taking down this tournament, and it was unfortunate to not see the entire Top 8 play it out.

    At around 6 minutes (unsure how to add a time marker) czcams.com/video/Aq4paNdNAIc/video.html, Yoda doesn't take the extra 2 damage. Instead Yoda only got 2 damage on it.

    • @Next-GenGamingSC
      @Next-GenGamingSC  Před 19 dny

      I believe Yoda was just missing one damage, correct? Yoda should have had three damage instead of two damage. With this being the case, it ended up not playing a role, because Paul used Yoda to attack Vader. At that point, Yoda gets defeated whether he has the two or three total damage on.

      @MinmiPenguin Před 19 dny

      @@Next-GenGamingSC I agree, in this case it didn't seem to affect the game, but I noticed that the Han Solo player tends to not put damage tokens when they play. (I was also watching the Han Blue versus Sabine ECL match). Thanks for the reply
