😂Shit happens, thank you for amazing recording, you got the athmosphere ftom the show, I went to see Waterboys in Oslo, didny know what to expect, without Wickham on fiddle, but they blew my head away, back to the roots, rock and anazing dynimic in the songs. Mick Scott still got it Thank you for sharing this.
Was at Cork (ireland) gig on Sunday 18/June) - consensus among a whole range of friends is a) Mike Scott definitely still has it ! and b) The current band/gig is v tight and give an awesome sound

it's the "Big Music" i love so much from Mike. Yeah, Steve is missing, but the songs have the quality they need and Mike still has it indeed. And "Because The Night + The Pan Within" is just a masterpiece of a combination.
I play and watch this at least ten plus more times a week.
Every time it feel down it just brightens my day and makes me smile and remember how wonderful music is and what is important.thankyou

Thank you pdl for this post. I have never seen The Waterboys perform, but the video definitely has me hunting for the nearest upcoming concert. I do wish they'd think about coming to the States for part of their tour! Coming to Europe is not out of the question though! :) Appreciate your post of the whole concert!

I was actually there and by the looks of it, I was standing near you.
I saw this same concert in Cape Town South Africa - Mike was in good form and driving around with a buddy of mine that revamped a city called Huntley where Scott helped to shape and express onky in the way he can … I miss the lady bass guitarist though - she had such a beautiful vibe

Thank you! I used the Canon vixia hf r800 all the way up until 1:57:39 (I assume you meant 1 hour 57 minutes).
At the very start (the first song) I don't think I had stabilization on and I also might've had the white balance set differently, so in case you just mean the very start of the video, it's still the same camera. I just messed with the settings!
who cares that you didn't record TWOTM, I'm sure we've all heard it thousands of times already, hardly a week goes by without hearing it somewhere on some radio station. The sad thing is the tape ran out during Bang on The Ear, but what makes up for all of that, you got a great live version of Long Strange Golden Road.

Great recording of a great show! I was standing right in front of the stage during this concert. It’s amazing to see it all again!!! So, thanks a lot for sharing this! What camera did you use to get this very good quality?
Thanks! I used a Canon vixia hf r800. I imported it from the US so it has an American plug and it records in about 60 fps instead of 50 (50 or 25 is standard in most of Europe).
It's a great camera with a great zoom, it isn't the best in low light though, but it was perfect for this concert!
