All high end and generic products are usually made in the same factories…is costs effective to do that..all they do is repackage and rebrand them with their own label…I studied marketing and have a degree and they use psychology to sell…people think if the package looks expensive even with a bit of gold lettering people immediately think then it must be good…not the case…it’s a marketing ploy…shampoo is actually a formula of watered down detergent but with less foaming agent and more perfume…it’s the conditioner that does the trick. Just do your homework and don’t get fooled…..you can save heaps.

Honest dermatologists tell you this. I have eczema so started going to dermatologists from an early age. I have extremely sensitive skin and spent my entire teenage years only using rose water to cleanse my face as even water sometimes made it react! When I got older I wanted to start using these new fangled anti aging creams etc but had some bad reactions. The dermatologists told me exactly what you said about generic products. I can only use non perfumed stuff so that’s what I stick to and unfortunately sometimes you can only get the non perfumed stuff at a slightly higher price (but strangely enough all the uber high end expensive stuff is chock full of perfume 🤷‍♀️)

I’ve been using Liz Earle hot cloth polish for years, I swapped to the Aldi version at £2.49…. So good! I have psoriasis prone skin & it didn’t cause any issues.

I can highly recommend The Inky List retinol products. So cheap and unbelievable for crows feet. I used to use Obagi skincare which cost a fortune and did very little for me. I also use The ordinary. 100%

Why was Superdrug left off? I've bought most of my skin stuff from there over the years.

Totally agree with nadine although the expensive stuff
Can be nice don't think it's worth forking out for.
I'm currently using nivea, simple water boost range which is lovely to use.
Also loreal hydra genius which I only purchase when it is half price. 😊

What’s even the point in a specific butt cream? Just use the same body lotion as everywhere else. I would say that that should be one containing BHA/AHAs, retinol, and/or urea anyway, but they’re overpriced for what they are too. Just don’t forget your retinol/AHA serum/toner for your butt before you moisturise with whatever 🙃
