Generative vs Step Sequencing - Workflow Comparison

Hey Vida here,
I am making a little video after scrolling through some Reddit comments on the T-1. I mostly agree with them, but felt that first people's impression of the machine is that is an overpriced sequencer. While that may be true (LOL), I was lucky enough to get my hands in it through alternative ways and now I can't think of it other than as a generative powerhouse and a creative inspirational tool for when I need to just make music without thinking Allowing me more time to focus on the SOUND DESIGN, and less in the composition. Gotta pick your fights, yk?
Anyway, let me know what else you would like to see from these machines. I can try to make some more stuff :)

Iiiiiintersting...I think I tried the Torso way back when they had just come out and the manual sequencing was no way near this flexible, they’ve SERIOUSLY upgraded the firmware! Fantastic news, thank you so much for the video!

Yeah, there have been several firmware updates. But I have to wonder if the Oxi One is better now… 🤔

@@symbiat0 the Hapax is also in that realm...have you taken the plunge on any of them? I’ve struggled with them all as too generative (vs deterministic) or grid regimented by design...still hunting for my sequencer partner :)

Nice demo! I'm planning on doing something similar with an SH-4d, but the Electron pairs nicely with the T-1!

Ì really enjoy jamming with the NDLR and a Novation LaunchPad Pro Mk 3, with few Euclidean controls in the DAW. So I can really see how the T1 could give me additional live play fun. Seriously thinking about the T1, but also considering OxiOne...

Good stuff! You can also save and reload your pattern for a ‘temp’ effect on the A4 (or the AR)
