@dumaramutsi: There's only a small difference in colors so, if for this reason alone the Mega-CD version looks awful to you then the SNES one looks bad which in both cases is false colors wise. BUT on the other hand the Mega-CD version runs in higher resolution than SNES which is way more important both for visual and gameplay especially for games with fast scrolling like shooters, platformers or here, soccer game. And in addition to this, this Mega-CD version is smoother (FIFA games on SNES are sluggish), has more content and, as you pointed out, awesome audio so once again the Mega-CD version is the most enjoyable and by far the best.
+dumaramutsi Yes, I switched my soundsystem on my PC to Dolby Surround when I saw from the intro, that this game supported Dolby Surround and wow, great sound for such an old game.
Wow. Such old-school soccer video game, this is. You can't head the ball except off of crosses in the box (aka the diving variety) or when you kick the ball to yourself (which you can actually do if you press the lob button very lightly), forwards take corner kicks and midfielders take direct free kicks, the fake names, and, of course, the FMV sequences that were very definitely '90s. Probably the best feature of this game IMHO (and the best feature of all 16-bit FIFA games) is the fact that you choose who you want to take a PK with one press of a button.
Yes (it's an upgrade of FIFA International Soccer on Mega Drive which was the 1st FIFA game released so this Mega-CD version is still the 1st FIFA game too).
Always hated what most developers done on the Mega CD by just sticking a fmv intro on a game and better sound seemed like such a waste. Although I always found that 16-bit fifa games played like crap even at the time it never felt like you had full control over what was going on and you seemed to have one speed jerky slow yet they always seemed to get amazing reviews maybe people enjoyed torture back then?
this game is a masterpiece
Melhor canal de games antigos
Still better than Fifa14 on gen 8 consoles.
Tecnologia da época sempre e sempre depois anos 80 evoluçăo ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Love the chants during gameplay. What chant is that?

Apart from the 3DO version: THAT was really cutting-edge for that time!
Background live stadium sound was amazing...pretty good game, but color the palette was awful compared to Snes and PC version.

OH MY GOD, THE MUSIC IS THE SAME AS IN FIFA 95!! (Save for the fact it's played with real instruments)
Wrong move! The music is the same as FIFA International Soccer, except for real instruments!

yes and in my retro-eyes the best one =D
@@Perudor IMO, the 3DO version is definitely the best one out of the bunch...
Yes, the 3DO is a great machine :)
@@Perudor Indeed, it was the first REAL 32-bit game console! (SEGA 32X and Atari Jaguar do not count)
