- Dubs at the beach VW Show on Paignton Green featuring hundreds of Volkswagen cars and vans.
Saw plenty of Dubs on the beach, on Paignton Green, which wasn't actually very green due to the amazing sunny weather we've had recently.
Devon & Cornwall Transporters were out in numbers, along with several other VW groups from the local area and also many had travelled from afar.
I saw everything VW Bugs, beach buggy, Porsche, and all the iterations of Transporter you can think of. Some amazing Split screens. VW Caddy with a V6 engine transplant.
Lowdown transporters on airride and some amazing artwork.
T600 POO was there which I was so pleased to see, after seeing many pictures on Instagram.
There was an ABT Transporter converted by Colebrook Transporters which looked awesome.

There were many lovely wheels on show from Judd, Wolfrace, Leighton Vans, Vossen and my favourites Rotiform.
Low Life transporters with air lift performance with vans pretty much so low they touched the ground.
Templerway Campers featured a couple of their vans.

The @Staycation Lifestyle van conversion is coming along nicely.
I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate.
I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests.
Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey.

Vanlife for me is just beginning, it's a great adventure and I'm loving it. 😍

Was OK with that until the confusing (to me) barn door snobbery comment. I had a tailgate as my last van, but chose a barn door as my current. So much more usable, and no overhead shade when lying on the bed with the sun on your face in the morning. Please enlighten me?
Hi, it was just a joke, perhaps misplaced. Certainly didn’t mean to offend anyone. There are many pros and cons to both. The overhead shade is a pro and a con, it’s nice for some sun shelter and rain protection, which I find a benefit. Barn doors is more practical in parking spaces, that’s for sure and also additional storage. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy either to be honest. Tailgates I’m told are more sought after in the trade, I’m told. If my next van isn’t a 6.1, chances are it will be a TSI with barn doors 😀
