I have made books as journals. But never thought to replace 30 pages of paper with a tablet. Well... it's my turn to try. Thank you
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching.
out of all the DiY vids I saw to make this case yours was the best, most realistic, and expensive looking
Aaawwwhhh...thank you! What a nice comment Florence. Thanks so much for watching!
Yes this was the best one out if all the other ones I saw
سلام
Outstanding. Will be making one tonight. Thanks sew much!
Have fun!
Thank you for your video just made the tablet cover you did . You are a awesome teacher!
You are so welcome!
MS Taylor you are brilliant! Thank you.
Thank you!
thank you for taking the time to show the complete instructions! I don't usually do crafts, but I've made a leather case pouch for my small music player before and was really proud of it! When something is made right, it really lasts. So, now I am going to try your method with some tool leather and soft leather instead of the cardboard. I like velcro and fabric for securing the tablet and for protection because it isnt brittle like plastic which can crack from a fall. I've spent $100 or more on an ipad case before and once the plastic or rubber mold that secures the tablet gets cracked or worn, the whole thing is useless. At least, if I can make my own, I can finish it in a day, instead of waiting for something to be delivered! Thank you!
You are so right Geoff. I like making things myself too. Once you make it yourself, you know the "quality" of your product. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment...Happy Sewing!

Thank you, people like you improve the world, sharing knowledge without the ambition of profit is the true lesson of life ... I wish that all your good intentions are realized because the world needs more people like that ... Thankful ...
I'm so glad I was able to help you. I take it a "new tablet cover" will be in the making huh? LOL. I will add your request for flounces to my request list. I personally love flounces. They add something whimsical to your skirt/dress. Thanks for asking.
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Pleasant voice.

That's brilliant - I actually think it looks better that the stock iPad case, and the easily adjustable height / viewing angle is a huge improvement on most factory covers. Thanks for making such a cool video!

You did a great job with this tutorial. Everyone's comments are right on target. Thank you for sharing this.
Great Stuff!!! The funny part is you are probably using better material than the $25 dollar and under cases.
mars2025 I know right! Thanks for your comment.
Very nice. Going to use this to make a case for my Nook HD+
+Niler Taylor; Hi thank you for sharing this excellent tutorial on making an tablet case/cover for whatever purpose etc.. I was searching for a video on this for at least 2, 3/4 days now & out of all the videos I've watched so far today & days prior on tablet case making; yours was the best, most explained video I've watched so I will be making my tablet case very soon. First time making one this time around cause the two I've got they're peeling/disintegrating from the inside/interior part of the tablet case. The outside parts(front & back side) of it still looks relatively new case; Idk why its like that etc.. Anyways Tafs. Have a Blessed Day Ahead.
Hi Kimberley, I know the feeling. I actually have a new larger tablet and the case is doing exactly what you mentioned...peeling. I too like my case. It's a shame the quality of tablet cases are so poorly made. I too will be making another cover for this new tablet. Maybe i'll make a video on it also...hummm...keep watching. LOL. Thanks so much for your comment. Happy Sewing!
@@NilerTaylor-relindesignsHi You're welcome! Thank you so much for sharing your kind & Informative feedback. I wish you the best in your tablet case making would like to see your progress on it if upload the video of it. Yeah I agree with you on the quality of tablet cases being poorly made. Tafs
NB: Hope my tablet case comes out to my liking when I get into making it. Thanks Again.
@@kimberleygamble8630 Keep me posted and I'll upload the video "if" I decide to recover the one that I have. Thanks for your response also...😊
@@NilerTaylor-relindesigns ; Ok Np! will do & you're welcome as well. Tafs
This is great! Both my daughter and I have tablets and cases, but I like this one. I am going to make 2, 1 for each of us. Thanks for sharing!

Wow this is amazing well done 😀👍
You are so welcome, thanks for watching…Happy Sewing!
Thank you very much from Venezuela!
You are welcome.
That's pretty cool and maybe in the future when I think up a nice design I'll make my own cover for my iPad Air 2 but for now I'll stick to a bought one as I'm too lazy at the moment, lol.
In fact, I'm passing down my iPad Mini Retina to my mother so I'll make her a beautiful case so she won't have to use my very bulky Otter Box case. I think she'll like it.
Shannon, I'm sure your mom will be head over hills, tickled pink about the case that you make for her. I'm a parent and I know if my child made something like that for me, I will cherish if forever and never get rid of it. You will make your mom very proud (even if she does not say it...she does mean it)...Happy Sewing!
Niler Taylor Your comment has made me really want to begin creating the case for my mum. Thank you. I'm going to start buying everything I need today.
Shannon Briggs That's what I'm talking about! Let me know how it turns out!

Excellent tutorial! Nice job! This was exactly what I was looking for, but I will use all leather. Your instructions gave me an excellent layout for building a leather tablet protector. Thanks!
Very helpful and a beautiful job. Your lesson is outstanding and professionally done. I have a few devices I want to make this case for. I hope I can find the faux leather. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Jan
Thanks Jan for watching and for your nice comment. You can find the faux leather at JoAnn's Fabrics. I'm sure your case will turn out just fine.

Es exactamente la funda que estaba buscando, ya que es muy cara para comprarla, hay algunas partes que mucho no entiendo, porque el traductor del tutorial pone esos números en vez de palabras, pero la voy a intentar hacer. Un trabajo impecable. Muchas Gracias
I'm so glad that my video was helpful for you and I hope your case comes out great! Happy Sewing!
luv it! thanks so much!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
that is really nice thanks
You are welcome. Thanks for watching!
wonderful!
michelle stone Thank you.
Awesome tutorial, thanks.
Nice. Best diy tablet case I've seen.
An added tip that may or may not appeal to you; put adhesive velcro on the back of the tablet itself. I've done this with my personal tablet cases that i've made, and it works very well. And it looks better than those corner straps.
Torok Morkaius Sounds good. Thanks for the tip.
Oh my gosh! Girl Thank you for this!! I actually have faux leather rate here LOL My mom owns a Kindle and she has no cover for it, shes been asking me about making her one cause I don't own one. Now I can make her one =)
Great video Niler as always. Beautiful finish to the cover. Thank you.
