15 Rick And Morty Easter Eggs That You Missed

- It is FINALLY time for Rick and Morty season 5! The last season ended with both family Beth and scifi Beth deciding they no longer cared which one was the clone. They ended up becoming an even bigger family that was less dependent on Rick. This season we will see if the Smith family will actually be done with Rick or if he will be able to hold on to his weakened position in the household. While all this drama is going on there will likely be dozens of easter eggs depicting references, callbacks, inside jokes and clues to the show’s biggest mysteries.
So far the series has given us plenty of easter eggs that reference the likes of Star Wars, Midnight Run, Gravity Falls, Zardoz, Doctor Who, Futurama, Community, Farscape and so many more. It seems like Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland watched every single obscure 80’s and 90’s movie in order to prepare for writing this series for Adult Swim. Some of the jokes and designs for the series make absolutely no sense unless you’ve seen an obscure Stephen King adaptation.
Not only that but the series has made references to Rick’s past such as his brief rockstar career and where those alien parasites really came from. Not to mention Jerry’s lingering friendship with the one and only Doofus Rick.

i was just thinking "i know i've seen this before" i'm pretty sure they are even in the same order
I'm pretty sure it's copying a video I saw YEARS ago, so much so that they didn't even bother correcting the time travel one to update according to season 4.... in which they DID time travel
but to be fair, most of these Rick and Morty easter egg videos are the same, not even sure we can call it a rip off at this point
This video talks about how Harmon and Roiland shelved time travel but S4 has a Time Travel episode that parodies Terminator. Dunno why that wasn't included.

Rick & Morty takes place in an infinite multiverse.
That means ALL things are part of the Rick & Morty universe. Anything at all that has been created, anything at all you can think of and an infinite number of things you haven't or can't think of all exist in every infinite multiverse as all infinite multiverses are the same multiverse. No matter who's IP you're talking about.
And Dan Harmon isn't against time travel because it's over used, it's because he and many of his writers hold math or physics degrees and know you can't actually travel backwards in time because time doesn't exist. It's how we measure entropy. It can move faster or slower and even stop, but time CAN'T move backwards. So when you see time travel happening in the MCU (where a lot of Dan Harmon writer's room alumni work) what you are actually seeing is travel between identical universes within the same infinite timeline where time flows differently, so you can appear to move forward or back in time, but you actually just change locations. That's why when you return to your original universe, you didn't change anything there, you changed the future of the universe you visited.
