Great to see you guys enjoying the hidden delight that is Paolo. Possibly the best singer songwriter of his generation yet largely seems to fly under the radar. I've been watching him live since the first album when he was just a kid and saw him again towards the end of last year. He just gets better and better.

Hard to believe that there are people who have not heard the great SCOTTISH singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini.
Sorry I from USA and never heard him until about a month ago we and got his cds all 4 of them bought 3 of them each one for car and one for in house unbelievable I just found out he was in usa in Philadelphia last year and I didn't know of this guy what a singer and not to bad to look at either 😉😀😳

Was not expecting this! He's Scottish from Italian descent, And the speech is Charlie Chaplin from The Great Dictator. Paolo's stuff is always better live, they always seem to dumb his talent down on the studio releases. Through the Echos is another one by him where the album version comes nowhere close to the live performances.

I just recommended "Through the Echoes" too, as you say the acoustic version is the one to listen to.
I just saw him in Melbourne recently where he performed both of these and he was excellent from start to finish. Definitely better live too. There's a couple of his songs that I generally skip past when it comes to the studio versions, but surprisingly enjoyed live

Paolo Nutini is Scottish and his father is of Italian descent - Scotland has a large Italian descended contingent and is all the better for it. Paolo's got a couple of multi platinum albums which a legendary - Met him at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival a few years ago and he was such a nice down to earth guy.

This was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. Adele was recording there on this day and she was told Paolo Nutini was there so she went and listened to him. Adele is behind the camera with a first class seat.
Adele commented on social media that day...she was blown away....paulo is the greatest singer songwriter scotland has ever produced...he's a genius.
It’s rumored she cried during this performance. And who wouldn’t? This is seriously one of the best songs and best performances in human history. So much emotion, so much relevance, and above all soul. It makes you want to finally fight back against the cold system we’ve created. There’s very few songs that can elicit such a strong emotional response.
You wont find a better live performance from a group of musicians, singer & songwriter that are all on point together... It's outstanding.

Saw him 2 weeks ago in Ireland. The Italians came over to Ireland in the 50s to sell us chips (didn't hit our town till the 80s) and we adopted it as our national dish! I presume Scotland was much the same. Love love love Paolo ... and chips ❤

Best performance ever to come out of Abbey Rd studios. I was lucky enough to be there. Absolutely relevant for today's shit and Chaplin speech very prevalent. Amazing voice and the bands good too. He's Scottish Italian.

Most people know him from Candy.... which did very well.
Man so many people say underrated but i think in this case its kind of true but i would say that he has not banged out so many hits.
Also he was around when you could market artists and for some reason it didn't really happen.

He's Italian. I've been a fan for almost 10yrs. The industry honors image over talent these days so all the most talented artists are outside of the mainstream.
He's not Italian, he's Scottish, born in Scotland to Scottish parents.
I usually listen to louis tomlinson or harry styles but let me tell you this guy is right there with this I bought all his cds I love his new what a singer if he ever comes back to USA I'm going to see him

It’s amazing how people form different genres of music find this song so totally awesome! The song encapsulates the human condition so well, we aren’t supposed to live as we do in big cities chasing money and things to make us in some way feel better about ourselves which ultimately bring us down. Freedom exists within, it’s the iron sky that tries to squeeze that out of us.

I love Paolo, I saw him preform as a live PA at a rave, rather an obscure booking but everyone there was totally in ore and new they witness someone special, this was before he hit the charts in 2006. His albums These Streets and Sunny side up are still both on heavy rotation on my favourite playlist ❤
