I actually prefer 2 over the original.
The funniest thing about all the reactions to this movie is the concern for the dog. Literally every single reaction everyone say "That dog better not die"
It was a great idea to have the dog because that definitely added to the anxiety lol
When the brother yells at the predator for going invisible he's calling it a cheater. Also she did cut off that French trappers leg. Great movie overall

Yeah, she used the same razor tool the Predator used to cut off the interpreter leg. They show her figuring it out by the river before knocking out the trapper.
There is a small scene after Naru woke up after hunting the cougar. She told her mother she needed to complete her trial and her mother told her that the goal of the trial was not to prove that you are a hunter. The goal is to survive. Naru ran and survived until she learned the Predator well enough that she could form a plan to make the Predator her prey.
That thing with the snake moving was a reflex. The snake was already long dead, but the nerves of the snakes often remain active long after they died, as snakes are known to twitch and occasionally move even after their death.
The reason this predator is having primitive tech compared to other predators in the franchise is because it's a youngblood fairly new in hunting. It must prove itself to its tribe and earn higher tier equipment. So basically it was trying to do the exact thing naru, the protagonist in this movie was trying to do that is to prove itself.
They get the Plasma Cannon and the Armband Nuke. When they hunt Aliens...It's how they earn it....Showing they don't need them to kill one. As they prefer to kill their prey with edge weapons..
Predator can be known as Feral Yautja among its species called Yautja. You are right about Youngblood Yautja. He is their age as a teen who is his 1st hunt in 1719 compared one who is more experienced hunter with far more advanced equipment. One in 1719 has least one advanced weapon. Reason that I know about its species; I read stories about them written by fans of Predators. Some of the stories like this screenplay made into movies. We have to thank late special makeup artist, Stan Winston who designed and created 1987's Predator's alien.

The predator doesnt set traps. The French trappers were the ones trapping and they are the ones that skinned all the bison as well.
Yes they do...In Predators they used a net trap to capture the Doctor.. As they learn from hunting humans. Then use the new set of skills they learned....How they learned it. It was in Predator 1...
And the reason they know what happened. The mask records everything. So when they come looking for what killed them. They can retrieve it..
Predators strength is Brute force and cloaking..Vs Skill and Cunning. Why they hunt Humans. They get smarter from it. Learning a new set of skills..

Human do no different when it comes to hunting. We wear camo, hide our scents with animal piss hide our breath in the winter with snow. We do everything we can do to not be noticed while hunting. Have bear mace, be up in stands, use guns which animals can't do. At least when a Yautja is faced by an opponent wanting to go one on one melee combat he goes melee combat how many hunters you know do that? Why should the Yautja be any different? Also, the predator/Yautja. Are super honorable. When it caught up with her when she was caught in the French fur traders trap. The Yautja realized it was not one of it's traps. So she was defenseless and thusly not a threat. It even put the chain down disappointed a bit because he knew it would be an unhonorable kill.
In many ways. The Yautja are more honorable in hunts then most of human history including modern history.

Did you watch the end credits which took the form of a pictorial representation of what had occurred during the movie? Because right at the end it shows 3 predator ships emerging out of the clouds. Did you pick up on that?

The reason they come. If the Predator dies. Their ship returns to the home planet. Then the mask records what happened...So they will come looking and find that mask. As they want to know what killed one....
For me, Prey is the best Predator movie of all. Naru her brother and the dog were great. Naru was so smart. Feel free to show Predator 2.
A year late but if you watch the end credits it shows that the predators ended up showing up again and since predator 2 they give him the same pistol at the end may lead to believe they ended up killing Naru and the rest of the tribe and taking the pistol as a trophy

Great reactions and dialogue (I just joined yall channel fam). I LOVE THIS MOVIE - I've seen it about 5 times already, lol. Prey truly feels Epic. I strongly suggest watching "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (2003 version with Jessica Biel) - AWESOME horror movie.

this was such a breath of fresh air for the franchise. there are different classes and subclasses of the Predator speices (Yautja). this is Feral Predator. they preferred the fight more than anything, minimum tech, and weapons. Predators also evolve depending on their prey, and where theyve hunted. so since this is the 1800 century its safe to say theyve been to earth before this. thats why in Predator we get a hunter Predator with a evolved tech and weaponary. this Predator could also be a subclass called young bloods, untested, fairly new to the whole hunt.
lastly when Tabai bests the predator and it cloaks what he yells in the dubbed version is, "Cheater!!"

Prey had more of an emotional impact than other Predator movies. I think its top 3 along with the original and Predators. Maybe the best one yet.

Maddie, you are the first and only one out of dozens of reaction videos that I've watched that understood that the flower restricted the blood flow and not really cooled the blood.
It actually really amazing how much they would use that flower for in real life.
25:23 no he had legs when she knocked him out she took the blade from the fidget spinning bombs and cut his leg off too make him the bait. But a threat at the same time. The Yautja spears has a button you push it made it retract she must of pushed it without knowing. Hence the ending scene to AvP.
Bro I also watched this movie in HULU....really awesome👍 this movie links with Naru holding the 1719 flintlock pistol which later in Predator 2 ending the Superior Predator gives it as a trophy to Lieutenant Mike Harrigan....

This predator is a young blood inexperienced as they get more skilled in the hunt their weaponry gets more upgraded ...you guys should really watch the other movies first.. Anyway easily the movie of the year for me there's going to be a part two by the way they ended it and that pistol since somebody already spoiled it for you comes from a different movie ...Watch predator and predator two then you would need to watch the alien franchise then you can watch alien versus predator Watch them all you'd like them
Please watch the movie Gangs of Wasseypur part 1 and 2 . You can watch it with English subtitles on Netflix. It is a Gangster movie and one of the greatest Bollywood movies ever made. Even Martin Scorsese loved the movie and sent a personal letter to the director of the movie Anurag Kashyap.

The herb bringing the body temperature down enough doesn't make sense either, it would probably be similar to the mud, so kinda a lame comparison. The reason they didn't use the mud in this movie is because it has already been done. Simple as that.
Anyway, great movie. Doesn't surpass the original for me, but it's definitely up there right with it.
Most modern medicine came from plants, like aspirin for instance. And we have a medicine my Uncle picks for cancer. It was used in my Hospital where I work.
