Having G on your resume is a huge booster. And if you can pass the hiring bar there, you can pass a lot of other places. You don't have to worry too much about finding another job.
Another thing to consider is that there are a lot of other people who passed the same hiring bar that are also applying for the same job

Hi Jon. I wanted to ask you for advice on how CS grads and people getting into tech can actually break into the industry these days. I’m sure any insights you can give will help not just me but plenty of others as well. I can’t tell you how many graduates aren’t even getting interviews, myself included.
It's a tough market right now. If you are not doing this already, I would recommend seeking out roles specifically catered to new grads, as it's still competitive but less competitive than entry level roles. A good IG account to follow is @jonathanwordsofwisdom, he provides a lot of helpful tips on how to get a job in today's market. Hope that helps!
i was a google TVC in the fiber transport group working in all the major US data centers for 5 1/2 years. Google did not renew my groups contract last May and we were laid off. No reason was given. Now I work as a sub contractor to Ericsson as they laid off all the US field personal that supported the Google metro network sites.
I'm sorry to hear that. I wish the tech industry handled the layoffs better; but I hope your transition to your new role is going smoothly

Why are their so many software engineer job postings when they are laying off?
Long story short: the tech industry is still growing and companies are investing in their future by hiring in those areas

Thank you! IMO 12th grade is a great time to think about your career. Use this time to your advantage and figure out what you can do to make progress towards your goals.
