- Come join us as we are on a mission to catch 35-40 pounds of Catfish fillets in one day for a company fish fry.We are jugging off the South Louisiana Intracoastal Waterway. Make sure you check out Part 2 to see how we clean these big cats(The quick and easy way) and of course the deep frying.

Me and my dad used to go do this when we lived near the Mississippi River. So much fun!
I like the jug design. 1" PVC inserted into a similar length of foam noodle capped on each end. Simple but very imaginative. Always learn something new watching your videos.

I wish I was there with you. I’m from Humboldt, Tennessee. I catch catfish and n rods and reels, but if I had a boat. I’ll be hug fishing myself. I guess in time I’ll get one. I usually catch at least ten catfishes when I go, and as soon on as they get home. I clean them. I fish for bluegills, bass, crappie, catfish, and perch

Love the video, I just subscribed. My son, son-in-law and me caught a 17 pound, 27 pound and a 34.6 pound blue cats on jugs and live bluegill last November. Cold as heck and they still hit.

Thanks Bryant! I appreciate you watching and commenting. These big cats melt in your mouth. Not sure what I did to make them that way. I just seasoned well , vacuumed sealed and put in the refrigerator for a couple days.
@@kfred Thanks for replying. I guess I have the texture issue because the larger catfish that I get are farm raised and not from the river or lakes? Looking forward to seeing your next great video.

I northern California were I live and I was in better health
We go out on my brother's pontoon boat at night in a lake about 120 miles from home spent the weekend while I was working , we caught some big blue cats and channel cats , we put all catfish over 2 pounds back and keep the smaller one to eat , eat a lot of catfish a pototes , boy you guys did good with your method of fishing but not allowed in california one rod per person and a second rod cost you another $50 .00 God bless you and stay safe and take care

It was a black drum! Yeah it’s fun chasing those jugs down.Yeap about a foot and half. It’s crazy, sometimes with a current the bait is on top the water and I have seen the fish blow up on the bait. Thanks for coming in and commenting. Your channel is doing awesome! I need some tips! 😂

Man y'all caught some nice ones.. That brackish water always seems to hold some good quality catfish. Plus as a bonus you never know what you're gonna have on the end of the line when you bring it in.

@@kfred yeah I saw the gar. The big ones are always fun fighting on a hand line. I was running my jugs/noodles about a month ago and a big alligator gar came up on a hook when I head my head and upper body hanging way over the boat. Thought a big gator had done punched my ticket. He was inches from my face. Luckily I had extra underwear in the boat that day. Lol.

Roy we set them on the flats off to the sides in 3-5 foot of water. Yeap about 18 “ inches. Now it was probably 60 ‘ out in the middle. Thanks for watching!
