Well, I'm not a lawyer, etc. but they do want your SSN to make sure you are not a bot or going to handle your tenant's info irresponsibly.
Thank you for the excellent tutorial. Question about income verification: Zillow's "Verification of Income FAQs" page has a screenshot of a popup window with 2 options - "Verify income automatically" OR "Upload income documents". At 5:27, I only see mention of the upload option. Is the automatic verification option (via Finicity) not available? Thx.
Hmm. Excellent question. I'll have to do a deep dive on this. I assume verification of income would be part of their credit check, but it's something that requires more research.
Would you recommend including and ESA dog in the pet section of the application? The place I'm interested in allows for dogs with a fee but I'm concerned if I mention the ESA they will discriminate since they can't make any money from my dog.

Hello. May I know how to determine which property is managed by a property management or self-managed in Zillow?
I'm not sure there is a hard and fast rule for that. Is there a reason why it matter sto you? Maybe if I have that, we can work backwards and get the answer you are looking for.

I hope Im not doing a conflict of interest thing on your end but Im actually new to using Zillow and is kinda studying on how to get leads of properties I can reach out that is not managed by a property management yet. I wonder if the one on the Overview section showing a "Leasing Agent" are the ones Im looking for. Im just not sure though.

I am a landlord and I work for a landlord tenant attorney and I can tell you with 100% honestly that Zillow has produced terrible tenants for my clients and Zillow does not give their clients (the owners of the property) true reports. They will tell an owner the tenant doesnt have any evictions and they have great credit when that is not true. I have seen at least 25 clients come to me in the past year with tenants not paying rent immediately and destroying their home and in some cases Zillow didnt even receive the social security number from the applicant! That is reckless!
But is this a Zillow issue or are your clients just not properly vetting? I have trouble believing that Zillow is taking these people's SSN and then returning data that doesn't match their actual credit score. That seems like it would be a poor business model.
I listed Zillow and got kicked off. I’ll have to go Airbnb and corporate housing

I recommend redacting all personal identifying information such as report name, address, etc… on your videos. You don’t want to be engaged in legal forums for failing to do so friend.
Thanks. As I noted in the video, these are reports provided by Zillow as examples. They are not real people.
It has not worked well any more without CRMLS support ;literally it becomes now opponent! For the rental marketplace data analysis part is just BS; misleading owners listings on Zillow for months to year that’s ridiculous! Totally not professional Without licensed required!😓 who want use these documents to replace CRMLS which is professional licences required paperwork? Not yet !

Go check for example: how many use appliances for rental properties;it will show up ; it’s not using appliances wrong or too expensive; people don’t trust Zillow any more like before! Why?
zillow screening is BS all i get is section 8 and other BS ,once you tell them what you need as far as credit score and 4 years of tax returns and work information and last place of living and a monthly income of 8,000 they fall off into the abyss
My experience has been different from that. I've sourced some very good, long-term tenants that wanted furnished rentals off of Zillow and plan on continuing to list there.
I have all that and wouldn’t rent from you cause what do you need 4 years of tax documents for?🙄 Y’all ask for to much personal information you can be a criminal! Just cause your renting out a house doesn’t mean you’re a good person
@@theforexchef1600 Such information is at the basis of determining a prospective tenants' ability to afford the asking rent, while still maintaining their existence. And, some of the other information verifies not only current employment, but consistent employment over time.
I listed my property but it’s showing someone else’s phone number as the person to contact. I tried to add my phone number under my profile but it doesn’t give me the option to!! Anyone have any idea why I can’t add my phone number?
Is it someone else's number or is it a safety feature Zillow has added so they don't have your number, but they have a number that goes through to you? This is usually limited for people that have Zillow premium.
Have you tried calling it?
