  • In this video we discuss the work to get a taxus back on track and to a better health. And some other maintenance job like pinching a taxus, partial defoliating a momiji and thinning a juniper into a nice shape.

Hi Yannick, fantastic trees, I love this first Yew…I didn’t understand in the yews which leaves you remove. It could be like in Scots Pine, only leave the current and the previous growth?Thank you

Hello, you have growth of 3 years ago, 2 years and this year. The ugly yellowish foliage of 3 years ago you can remove in this case. But this is for this tree at the moment. Everything is case by case for every tree.

@@yannickkiggen4639 Hello, yes, every case is different. My Yew is garden material but after 13 years, the foliage is compact and vigorous. Under the branches there are some “gaps” of green due the shadow of the upper branches, but it is ok. I’ll remove the 3rd year foliage. I’ll post a picture but I can or I don’t know how. Thanks
