I get it, giving something so intricate to someone who is blind but it might be more ableist to assume she can't and go out of your way to underestimate them because their blind.
I dont think they thought she couldn't cook it. But the chances of her getting injured...which she did, but thankfully not from the live crab but a cooked on...anyway there was a real fear that she would grab it wrong and get pinched and crabs don't let go that easy.
I mean Monty wouldn't have given her the crab and she was a bitch.
However most of the home cooks and the judges jave respect for Christine because they knew she was that damn good. That's why Ryan gave her crab.
@@vanapirarayne738iirc, Christine was ok with it because she didn't want to be treated any differently
Too funny when some people use words like ableist yet don't know the difference between their and they're. lmao
@@user-hv4fc5rx7x please calm down babysis, sorry I didn't proofread for you and your whiny self. I do know the difference, its called a typo.
And that doesn't change the fact that my comment was right. It's more abliest to assume she can't. It's a jerk move but it's showing her that they don't underestimate her. She is/was their biggest competition.
The problem, IMO, wasn't Ryan giving Christine the live crab. It's a competition - if she's the strongest, I'm gonna try to impede her progress as much as possible. What WAS wrong was him acting like an asshole (I would've broken his nose on the walls if I saw his smirk). Were I in his shoes, I'd have either done nothing or straight up helped her with it.
I think they just edited it that way to make it dramatic.
Yea no other contestant would've done anything differently, if anything if they didn't wouldn't that be lack of equality
Christine also could have made a pot of boiling water then put the crab directly into the pot from the basket without using the tongs. then put the cover on it. When we used to go crabbing, we would put the live crab under hot tap water and scrub them with a toothbrush. These were small blue crab that couldn't do much. We needed adults to handle the large "Samoan" crabs that looked the same but had red shells and the crab pincher to pincher was maybe three feet across. They would fill our entire net. that was maybe five feet in diameter.
I love crabbing from the shore or piers in Outer Banks with the metal net or chicken on a string for blue crabs. It's so much fun.
😊
One of the most shocking moments of MasterChef pass in Masterchef Spain. One of the homecooks put a raw bird in a plate with all and the feathers, just like that. I think the judges were so good with the critics, that home cook deserve a Joe like judge.
17:42 That Scotch Bonnet dish was a real disaster: On Scoville scale that pepper is 100000 - 350000SHU. Hotter then Habanero.
The second I saw Mark I thought what is jamie oliver doing there?
Now I'm thinking about Uncle Roger.
Finnaly a video about the Masterchef's version of Scott from S7 of HK (the contestants)
45:06 True. Raw Chicken = You can get Salmonella. Raw Meat = E-Coli. Yuck.
She looked like she used like 15-20 scotch bonnets not half of one
Jennifer was yet another questionable "winner". 👎
the only time i agree with joe 💀damn
Raw meat is safe just like raw fish if prepared properly. anyway... with meat, as long as the outsides are cooked, raw meat inside us safe!
i hate dino and it was hilarious when jeff told him if he has his therapist waiting for the check he would get if he wins and dino says yes because he doesnt know how to win an argument
The servant hair, it the gross
Imo I wouldn't feed tali's pizza to my dog😂
I can't stand Joe's attitude towards the contestants. Joe's just a businessman, and nothing more. He rides the coattails of people like Gordon Ramsay and his own mother, and gets to gaslighting everyone who's within earshot. He couldn't actually lead a kitchen if his life depended on it. Booooooo
Yet he's successful regardless of "expert critics" such as yourself
Don't criticize success unless you've been exactly where they are
he is only successful because of his mother
I'll bet Joe gets beaten up a lot.
@@jsfueston1 you know his childhood was Hell because he just couldn't possibly stop being himself for even just a minute.
@@thespudlord686 you're nothing special, unless we're talking about the Special Olympics. I sincerely hope you never poop again, and live the rest of your life in a constipated Hell.
Christian could back up the talk but sometimes he did get defensive and do shit
3:42 Full-on brawl? Please stop.
12:01 ... Canada!!!
They were using rabbit? Why that is the main ingredient in Wets Tibbar.
The blund chef did not deserve to win based on her cooking alone. She was good, but not the best. If a seeing person cooked exactly the same dishes if exactly the same quality, they wouldn't have won. Her's waa a pity win.
Are you stupid or are you stupid
Gonna heavily disagree with this, she earned her place. Now she wasn't my winner for this season but her winning was well deserved
I disagree. She definitely deserved her win. And I don’t think her win was a pity win. It’s honestly really impressive that she can cook amazing food and make it look stunning without sight.
@@LEMATTOFFICIAL I agree that she is a good chef & her ability to perform so well without sight is impressive. However, you also state that she wasn't your winner for this season. Nor was she who I believe was the person who should've won. IMO if she had sight she would not have won based on her cooking alone. IMO she was afforded extra credit based on her ability to do it blind. That's not a good enough reason to be chosen winner as I feel the winner should've been the best chef, not just the best blind chef.
@@kimorawilliams6378 she is definitely the best blind chef I've ever seen. Her ability to do so well despite being blind is commendable. But, she was not the best chef that season. IMO she won because people were impressed with the fact that a blind person was able to do so well, not because she was simply the best overall.
