EU is the last major region without many imports, LCS and LPL have been way ahead.
They’ve had many imports in the past.
Never has been “swarm the region with imports to replace current players”. NA has by far the biggest import problem (number, regions, ratio, etc)

Well, there are only limited spots in LCK. LCK imports used to go to LPL but now that LPL has started to produce their own talents, it's also getting harder for newbies to get in there.

Well on the otherhand he could be wasted in LCK aswell consider how no one offer them a position in the main team even after their performance in CL league, they could have still stuck in Academy right now if EU didnt call out to them. Every star player used to be an unknown no-name players. Rahel and Luon are relatively known as a young player with potential as they have been performing well in the challenger.
Keria back in DRX academy also known to dominate the challenger scene, the same goes for Gumayusi Oner Zeus Clozer Lucid, etc. Griffin and DWG players also promoted from the challenger scene back in 2018 and 2019.
