This is the summer I moved to Brighton, I was 21 years old. Wow that was an amazing summer and a great New Year’s Eve ..2000 a few months later! There was a massive street party.. A lifetime ago. Thank you for uploading this.

I'm watching this video because I searched: Brighton 1999, it was also the first year I lived in Brighton. and then I read your comment. It brought back some of the best memories of my life. I was 20 years old then. I also remember the 2000 new Year's Eve , that time was epic time for me! I'm from Barcelona!

I would’ve been 8 going on 9 in November of 1999 and I was thinking the same thing before I saw your comment.
The streets were so much clean and pristine.
Edit: Also these old busses and the old open market.
I miss the old Wimpy (vegetarian nowadays, but still holds nostalgia), Woolworths, Safeways, Summerfield, Gamblys, co-op department store and the old paddling pool outside of the West Pier and more. Memories

Weird how this is how I remember Brighton the most even though I live here.

Holy crap. This is the year I left Brighton to go to uni. That year I was heavily into Kpop and arcade music games (which sadly don't exist in Brighton anymore). 2022 - Kpop has gone global and arcade music games thrive in London. I'm now 42 years old. Time has stood still..!!
