"If I'm her, that napkin would've driven me fuckin' crazy." Richie is right. His little test told him more than her extensive resume.

Richie’s storyline in season two may be the most satisfying character development in tv history.

Not sure about history but it’s a highlight of the series. I think it’s a great depiction of a positive moment in someone’s life can change who they are. He’s still him, but far more focused and sure of who he is as a man.

I feel the same way. When I think about this show, Richie is more dominant in my thoughts than Carm. We really want to see Richie, after sowing such vulnerability, get some confidence and then find a purpose.

Had my girl watch the show and I told her Richie will be her favorite character. She didn't believe me after episode 1. She now does.

One of the best scenes. "That ain't a starcatcher" is such a clever turn of phrase.

This is the term " devil is in the detail". If you really work in any field that you are applying, a simple detail expose more than what's written in your resume

Look at Natalie's face. she's so proud of him but also she thinks it's hilarious that he's suddenly so uptight about good service

I feel like this is also a throwback to Sydney's resume. She's worked at several restaurants and Carmy's impressed by this, but here Richie argues that it might as well be a sign she's not competent.

But she also worked at UPS to put herself through culinary school so that’s a sign of a hustler.

I really hope Richie doesn’t follow down the same path as Carm (being a POS to underlings when the people who gave him this knowledge had 8,000x more patience with him than he has with them). It’d be a good storyline but so brutal. Richie’s got a good heart but this scene just made me think of that

"I'm a problem solver and you always put the restaurant first" Richie was right, she didn't walk the talk.

If people don't understand this, it's like watching a non guitar player like a modell fake a photoshooting holding a guitar. You can clearly see what's wrong in every detail and it would drive professionals nuts...
