There are some holes in this theory. The Jubilaries are supposedly considered the first rap group. Rappers delight was released in 1979, but in 1980, Rapture by Blondie was released, and the controversy began because while the Sugar Hill Gang and the others used sampled beats from other artists. Blondie's Rapture was a original song and score written by her and a lot of people in the industry thought that was a big deal being original. But hey theories and opinions are like assholes right. Incorrect. A lot of people consider “Noah” to be the first rap song but it wasn’t over a syncopated beat. It was more swing than rap… “Here comes the Judge” by Pigmeat Markham is the first real true rap song that has all the elements of rap… rhythm AND poetry.
