  • Chapter 6: 8-30 of Leviticus focuses on the regulations for various offerings, including the burnt offering, grain offering, and sin offering. The chapter begins with instructions for the burnt offering. It states that the burnt offering should remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, with the fire continuously burning. The priest is to wear linen clothes and remove the ashes from the burnt offering in the morning, placing them beside the altar. The priest then changes clothes and takes the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. The fire on the altar must always be kept burning, and each morning the priest adds firewood and arranges the burnt offering on the fire, burning the fat of the fellowship offerings. The fire should never go out and must be continuously maintained.
Next, it discusses the regulations for the grain offering. Aaron's sons are instructed to bring the grain offering before the Lord, in front of the altar. The priest takes a handful of the finest flour, olive oil, and incense from the offering and burns it on the altar as a pleasing aroma to the Lord. The remaining portion of the grain offering is to be eaten by Aaron and his sons in the sanctuary area, without yeast, within the courtyard of the tent of meeting. It is considered most holy and should not be baked with yeast. Any male descendant of Aaron is allowed to eat this offering, and it is his perpetual share of the food offerings presented to the Lord.
Then, the chapter provides instructions for the grain offering to be brought by Aaron and his sons on the day of the anointing. It is a regular grain offering consisting of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour, with half offered in the morning and half in the evening. The offering should be prepared with oil on a griddle, well-mixed and presented broken in pieces as a pleasing aroma to the Lord. The anointed priest's son, who will succeed him, is responsible for preparing this offering, and it is to be burned completely. Every grain offering brought by a priest must be burned entirely and not eaten.
The chapter ends with the regulations for the sin offering. The sin offering is to be slaughtered in the same place as the burnt offering and is considered most holy. The priest who offers the sin offering is allowed to eat it within the sanctuary area, in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. Anything that touches the flesh of the sin offering becomes holy, and if any blood spatters on a garment, it must be washed in the sanctuary area. If the meat is cooked in a clay pot, the pot must be broken, but if it is cooked in a bronze pot, it should be scoured and rinsed with water. Any male in a priest's family may eat the sin offering, except for sin offerings whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting for atonement in the Holy Place. Such offerings must be burned up and not eaten.

Thank you. I am using WEBBE version. It has the *no* at the beginning of the verse like this : 30 *No sin offering* , of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be eaten. It shall be burnt with fire.” But NIV put the negation near the end like this : “30But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place *must not be eaten* ; it must be burned up.” Both says not to eat the sin offering made to atone the HolyPlace but to burn it. But thank you so much comment. Glad you are paying attention. God bless 😇
