    I had the honour of doing my fieldwork at Must Farm in 2012. Wonderful experience, and Mark Knight is such a nice man.

      Such a nice man! It was a real pleasure to film with him for a day 😊

    The spearheads are much smaller than I would have guessed.

    Very interesting but not in depth enough. I'd like to see more about the technicality of manufacture, such as how the core for the socket was accurately located.

      Thanks for your feedback! We are hoping this is just the beginning - think of this as our pilot mini series 😉 With helpful comments like this we stand more chance of being able to bring more information and content to you soon 😊

    What is the average height of the spears shafts found? Were they head height on average or more sort of hoplite 7 foot type spear length?

      I’ll check for you, there was quite a range in lengths

      @@ancientcraftUK Oh wow thank you! That's really interesting if they all different lengths. I would of presumed they were all head height like their bronze age Egyptian contemporaries.

    What kind of material is used to form the inner socket?

    • @ancientcraftUK
      @ancientcraftUK  Před rokem

      Normally a clay core, but I've been experimenting with bronze cores in the bronze moulds.

    This is so good! Wish more people cared about this and less about "gender studies"
