Yea a 5.7 can literally keep up with a scat 🤣💯 & it’s a smart move to get a rt cause the insurance is cheaper.. getting a scat or a hellcat is just to flex honestly you can get a 5.0 mustang if you aiming for a fast car 🤣 or a twin turbo corvette if you got the bread for it but I had a charger 5.7 rt & it was a good car 🥲 ( I wasn’t at fault but it got totaled ) but tmmw hopefully I’m getting a challenger rt 🤞🏽
@@Sincereh a r/t can keep up with a scat, maybe not win the race but it sure as hell can keep up for a bit & a r/t can gap a scat if it has a fbo, cam & a few mods cause im pretty sure a scat be slidding more than a r/t, I’ve seen hella races at the track & you be surprised 🤣🤣 just bc a car has a certain amount of power doesn’t mean shii, there’s a lot of other factors involved, I seen a 800whp Supra losing to a 800whp demon just bc a Supra tires couldn’t get its traction & there’s no way when Supra is much more lighter but all I meant is a r/t has potential & you can always do a Ls swap & still have cheaper insurance
I just got mine 2 days ago and its a F8 green color... LOVE IT originally i was dealing with the camaro 4cyl but with so much delays and price is not ideal for me. I went ahead and checked out the 5.7 and yup that V8 sound screaming at me saying pick me... lol and the styling in and out is perfect. That green color is awesome specially park on grassy area. Well Ive been watching your channel to base my decision on this purchased. Very informative...
I have a 2019 challenger RT hemi 5.7 auto with super trakpak f8 green. Best car I've ever owned. Plenty of hp and tq. Excellent top end. Take a long trip put in normal drive mode. Went from cols oh to OBX NC . averaged 30mil a gallon. Still even in normal mode you can spin the tires comeing out of the hole. I'd love to see dodge come out with a CUDA version

As a owner of a 2014 Blacktop Edition R/T with Super Track Pack & a new 2021 Ram Limited Night Edition with Hemi E-Torque I should buy the last of the V-8 Challenger & the 5.7 is affordable with fuel & insurance, the sweet spot for a daily driver!
I have a 2017 challenger RT and it’s really fun to drive. I bought it used and so far I haven’t had any issues. Been keeping up on the services and I’m definitely not disappointed.
@@domtronic9526 My 2014 R/T is driven hard & the only issue I've ever had was a faulty passenger door power window switch that on occasion wouldn't work so I had it replaced. My 13 year old 2008 Hemi Ram has been my daily driver & work truck which has also been driven hard since new & I've never even had one issue with it making both vehicles my most reliable vehicles out of the 92 I've owned since 1980.
@Nunya Beezwax I raced a newer one recently and it was a close race, I beat him by a few feet. I wish I could afford a scat but insurance here is sky high
I drive a scat pack and I gotta tell you that the feeling of tire slip from taking off from a red light or stop sign gets crazy addictive. My buddies 5.7 just didn’t feel the same. With 100 less horsepower power it really is a good daily driver. But honestly the scat pack and hellcat are much more fun to drive. 😂🐝🔥🐱
I have this 2022 & my car does the same thing not even in sport. What year is your buddies? Mine in sport feels just like my brothers Scat charger to be honest. Now hellcat, that’s a much bigger difference
You are probably right. Extra 100 horses and additional twist power should make a difference. But recommended premium gas for 6.4 l is too much. R/t take regular. It’s all about compromises. One more compromise is transmission. You can’t have everything. Congratulations with a great choice.

I bought my 2022 Blacktop RT a year ago as a second car to drive on weekends and long trips. I paid too much for the newness but after numerous cars I have. Had,I knew this was what I wanted. What a ride with great gas mileage. All I have done to it is had the Katskin seat covers installed and replaced the foam flat fix with a genuine steel wheel donut for a perfect fit in the wheel well. (Still old school) Love this car even though I only put 5000 on it the first year.

I booked mine, the exact same one, two days ago. Lets see when I get to drive it. I am a current Honda civic 2013 owner. Lets see how the experience of driving a V8 Hemi will be. Super nervous though because this will be my first American car and that too a very powerful sports car.
I rented one out from fox rentals for 6 days for 250$. They said it was V6. I open the hood it was v8. Coming from old Honda crv. This thing is a beast. Wish the rental computer could open up the exhaust a little more .
I'm not just talking about Dodge but all car makers, if you experience a a puncture in you tire that can't be patched you are screwed what good will an inflater kit do you in a serious puncture or blow out, I miss the days when a simple spare tire would suffice. All in the name of saving weight to go faster 🤦🏿♂️ or their just to cheap to put them in the car
The R/T could do with 275mm rubber instead of the ridiculous 245's,personally I'd rather have dual batteries and a full sized spare and toss the boom box in the dumpster.
I am 5.7 hemi guy love challenger but mustang gt interior is better looking with round gages and mustang body style is bit more sportier looking. Never the less challenger is it's own beast. No real complaints juts small styling differences. Not sure how that 6 inline twin turbo will be but they would not get away from 5.7 hemi if it was not faster.

No hate on the 5.7 Challenger, I owned the Shaker for a few years and it was a blast. But, the 2021 Scat Pack Challenger I upgraded to with the Auto Tranny is way better performance over all.

These cars are Heavy and SLOW Don't be surprised if a Toyota Camry V6 hangs with you during acceleration With over two tons of weight it doesn't take much of many V6 engines to stay with it because their carrying 500 lbs less weight. The 6.4 is the only choice to prevent full embarrassment on the streets
Or you could grow up and not acknowledge the jealous camry guy next to you? Doesn't matter if it can keep up on streets where 50 is the spd limit. The challenger is cooler in every way.

5.7s are nice, they sound good and have a decent amount of power. No need to get a 6.4 if you really don't need it
