The poignancy, the raw emotion of this song really got me. There's something about it. All of what truly matters in life is subliminally represented in the simple, relevant lyrics accompanied with the melody and rawness of Gaga's voice. I can hear all of her character's anguish, loneliness and sadness. The way it was written like a dialogue between the two character's added even a deeper meaning to the song and storyline. Nothing can beat the first time I saw this scene in the theatre. I was almost in tears. So viscerally moved by the virginal aspect of seeing it for the first time. Although I will never experience that moment the same exact way again, this song will always have special meaning. I'm so glad that meaningful music can still be made in this current time.
This is the first song I've heard in a long time that makes me cry every time I hear it, and I can't stop listening to it. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga did an amazing job. This song had better win the Oscar.

I had the same reaction in the theater, the moment when she covered her eyes while singing, it was like my breath caught and the weird, happy tears kind of spilled over. It was just so damn moving, like she couldn't believe what has happening and how beautiful it was. I did not expect to get emotional during this movie, but it was like every moment was overwhelming in some way and it just shocked the hell out of me.

laz chapman the second and third acts had no chance of living up to the first hour. All the pop star stuff drug way too long. There should’ve been more “after” content, featuring Ally coming back to earth and not doing pop. But I still enjoyed it.

I have not been the same since I saw this movie. Glad I listened to the songs first. I feel so Bad for Bradley Coopers character. He suffered so much emotional pain and rose her to be noticed and in the end he needed her to know why he was suffering. I cried so hard and have not recovered. Talent with both of these too

Just saw this movie last night, and it hit me in a way that a movie hasn't in a really long time. Beautiful, poignant, tragic, and oh so worth a watch. What an amazing thing to experience in theatres, especially with Cooper's and Lady Gaga's undeniably amazing performances. Oscar-worthy all the way around.
I never was Lady Gaga's fan, but it's good that Bradley chose her for the role, great work for both of them and a very good movie.

I read in my paper that he learned how to sing and play guitar and piano because SHE asked that there be no lip synching. And the minimal makeup look for her was his idea. She went along, and both ideas were wonderful. I like his voice a lot, and love her look. She is really pretty.
OneJoshFan that’s exactly what they did. I’ve seen comments saying that it’s Lukas Nelson playing guitar & covering for Bradley, that’s not true. However, it is Lukas Nelson’s band and him playing WITH Bradley. Every song that’s sung every instrument played was REAL- that’s exactly what Bradley & Stefanie set out to do & they did it and then some ❤️
She looks far better this way compared to her over the top outfits and bleached hair look she normally has. I really hope she decides to just go with this natural look more. Much more attractive IMO.

This is a perfect example of the true genius talent of Gaga as a singer, song writer / actor and Cooper as a director /actor, singer! He sings very well but when she enters it is a whole other story and he relays the point with perfection.

I absolutely love Gaga's voice, no one in this world can say she doesn't have talent. BUT WOAH BRADLEY!! Never knew he had that kind of voice! So full of gut and rawness. A lot of people don't give him the credit. Both Gaga and Bradley wrote these lyrics and my oh my is this a perfect pairing. After watching the movie, both of them should win Oscars. Do you know how hard it is to pull music from your soul how much pain is involved in writing music derived from deep agonizing experience that connects with the souls in all of us.. it’s such a pain wrenching process. I love this movie so much because the songs are written from true emotion and feeling. Who ever wrote these songs deserve a Grammy.
