@@pirateproductions8426 They had originally decided to make it 5-6 seasons but it got cancelled due to Florida revoking their media tax incentive program so they cancelled the show bc apparently it wouldve been too much money to make. Thus why season 3 wasnt as good bc they mashed some of seasons 4-6 all into season 3

I choked on my own breath when I heard Danny (Ben) speak with an Australian account. Just goes to show how much of a brilliant actor he is. And John (Kyle is such an underrated actor. He needs to be in more blockbuster movies. This series is absolutory thrilling. As a writer myself, I really appreciate the talent the writing team as well as the rest of the cast and crew has. 100% EPIC! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ben was amazing as Danny never have i ever felt so much sympathy for anyone ever before. His acting was unbelievable and being the eldest myself it made me relate to him in a lot of ways.
Not only did I "binge watch" this once...but I've "binged watched" almost twice now. A terrific cast here. Add that to a gripping plot that builds as each episode unravels. Put it in a setting with so many natural extremes and this series is a real winner. Mendelsohn's character is the classic anti-hero you want to hate but his character (Danny's) story is heartbreaking at the same time. Another brother, played by Chandler, looks like the "good cop", until he too faces his own moral dilemmas. There is only one highway in and out of the Keys. These characters are stuck in that metaphor and it creates agonizing tension.

Haven't quite finished the show yet, but so far Bloodline has sealed Ben Mendelsohn as my new favorite actor. I only wish he had started working in Hollywood sooner, since it seems like he's intentionally stayed in Australia despite having the talent and skill to be an A list superstar.
Bloodline is a really great show, but Mendelsohn's acting absolutely makes it for me. Stellar. He was fantastic in Starred Up, Animal Kingdom and Killing Them Softly as well.

Colin Bell ditto, couldn't agree more. I have finished the series,couldn't stop. Loved the family- revolving plot. What an incredibly talented cast. Ben Mendelsohn as the driving catalyst,conniving,mesmerizing.oozing pure evil. All the characters completely believable & relevant as well. Watching it over again -- totally hooked on Bloodline.
patt brown They are so believable though aren't they? I say characters are believable on a lot of shows, but Bloodline takes it a to a new level. The moral ambiguity that exists in each one of them is great.
Colin Bell Yes & they cast them perfectly. I think many folks (if they're honest) have more than skeletons in their closets. Families don't want their dirty laundry aired. Usually at least one who tries to make everything right/one who can't stop messing up. I regret Sam Shepard didn't have more of a role. Also Sissy Spacek, matriarch without much purpose. I'm amazed at the subtle overtures I missed 1st time around.Definitely immersed in it 2nd time viewing, only 2 episodes left for me. Impatient for more !

Ben's craft as an actor is amazing. Not just the accent. I think his work on Bloodline is among the best I've seen in the last 5 years.
The last minute and a half of episode 13 just floored me. Wow what a show.

Danny became the monster his family forced him to become. By the end of season 1 he had the upper hand and the drop on all of them, there was nothing they could do to hurt him or force him out of home. John realized that and snapped. Danny keeps his cards close to his chest and his greatest strength perhaps was that he knew exactly how to play each sibling, he could accurately anticipate their reaction and the outcome to certain actions or events. He may have been seeking a fresh start with the family in the beginning but that changed more and more as the lies became apparent to him throughout his stay and so he has this hunger in the end to bring nothing but a lifetime of hurt and shame to the family, something he's had to bear his entire life, and he fuels this hunger by listening to the interrogation tapes over and over again until he knows them word for word.
These two actors need to be in a movie or another tv series together once more. Great actors!
I was giggling hysterically when Ben started speaking! Would have never guessed he was Australian. Amazing actors, amazing show!
Every single actor was superb - one of Spacek's best performances. We need more quality, adult, mature works like this instead of the teenage, rah rah, bland "hits" we now get. Chandler was perfect but Mendelsohn was haunting. Chloe was also very good.

I'm late to the party on this show, but we're enjoying it so much. Ben Mendelsohn is CHILLING in this part, and I don't think I've ever been so mesmerized by a performance in my life. I was gobsmacked when he started talking here. The fact that he also had to hide his Aussie accent makes his performance even more amazing. Kyle Chandler is always fascinating to watch as an actor. Never a hint that he's acting. He's perfectly cast here. This show is awesome. Can't wait to see what's next.
There's something so oddly genius about Ben Mendlesohn. He's obviously not as poised and natural in front of the camera in this type of scenario as Kyle Chandler is but on-screen he's so captivating and magnetic, whether you like his character or not. He's definitely a talent first and foremost, so artfully aware and intelligent. Kyle's great too, in anything he's in, he has quite a strong and alluring physical presence. Very much an alpha which I think adds to his charm.
Danny was so well played by Mendelsohn, leaves alot of questions unasnwered about his true intentions, loved it

Just binge watched Season 2. One of the best shows I've ever seen. The way it grabs your attention forcing you to keep watching episode after episode is amazing. It's right up there with Breaking Bad - Which imho, is the best show of all time. Bloodline is fantastic. Kyle Chandler is an awesome actor!
Good to hear man. I just finished season one. Ben Mendelsohn deserved an emmy win for his performance. Chandler and the rest of the cast were exceptional as well.I'm excited for Season 2. This show gets overlooked big time. Very underrated.

Ben Mendelssohn is REALLY a good actor.
Ben Mendelsohn always brilliantly plays these characters that really get in your head and under your skin - Bloodlines, Animal Kingdom, Black Sea, etc.
I'm really enjoying the second series. Thought that it would suffer from Danny's absence, except he isn't really absent and great new characters have been introduced. They've managed to keep the focus, yet broaden it's scope, which is a fine line to walk.

I’m only watching this now and thought the beginning was absolutely slow. I was crazy mad with it. Thank god I stuck and what a roller coaster of a ride. I have no idea how the actors manage to engage with the characters so well especially as it’s shot entirely out of sequence. I grew up in Australia and first saw Ben as a very young actor who impressed me but I had no clue as to how brilliant he is. Although the entire cast are sensational and they got those roles because they deserved them. The work that goes into putting it all together is beyond incredible and I congratulate everyone involved. I wish I had the talent to do it. I wonder how many actors watch and wish they had a role. It’s so competitive.
I haven’t quite finished all the episodes but there is one character I’ve chosen as the most toxic of all. Can’t wait to finish and watch it again.
Being in London does give me the opportunity to see some brilliant actors on stage both famous and not so. Although actors don’t seek fame they simply seek work, good roles and the odd compliment.

I know what you mean. Didn't quite go that far though! But his voice just sounds so much higher. Danny has a deep drawl which is quite attractive. It's one thing to take on an American accent, but also to change the pitch/tone of it must be quite difficult.

Hi, he spent time in the US as a teenager, so I figured that he had some kind of American accent that he could call on. For me, this might just be the best piece of family drama thrillers in years and the best show right now on television. A modern day masterpiece. I have watched the sopranos and talking in the context of family drama-thrillers, i place this shit right above with it.

Ben Mendelsohn is amazing. His acting is beyond and so is Kyle Chandler. Loved him since Coach Eric Taylor. Not to mention Meg Kevin and Sally (whose real names I sadly don't know). This show is amazing and I CANNOT wait for season 2.

Not my usual type of viewing but I'm hooked on this.
It IS an incredible series...fantastic acting!!! Ben plays Danny flawlessly...you hate him, but, then you love him...and back and forth...but mostly, I feel bad for him...Kyle plays John just as well...you can feel all the stress that's put on him and I just feel bad for him too!! Fun to hear Ben's Aussie accent ; )

It does my heart good to see these two actors out of character and bring pleasant with each other.
Great series, Ben Mendelsohn was terrific as Danny and so was Kyle Chandler as his brother, John. I was addicted to the whole show and all the characters. You couldn't help but feel sorry for Danny and understand why he was so damaged by such a dysfunction family, especially his father who, by the way, came from a cruel father.

Ben looks soooo much like Chris Cornell. If they ever made a movie about Soundgarden or Chris himself you already have the perfect casting in Ben.

My husband and I have binge watched all of season one. We both say Bloodline is the best show we’ve ever seen. The acting is phenomenal. No exaggeration. Great casting, great acting. We are so impressed.

I came to admire Danny's ability to work his situations even if he was a scumbag. I really came to hate Kevin! He's one of those characters that you want to reach into the TV screen and punch in the face.
Absolutely! I agree.. and it has been also a very good thing that they haven't tried to make him "likeable" and, instead, you keep waiting for him to fail, chapter after chapter. This guy is an amazing actor, it's some kind of mix between Gary Oldman and Al Pacino

@@MisterLumpkin i know he drove me crazy....wanting to flip on his brother ehen he said he was going to do it if john didnt....then when things didnt turn rosey afterward he wanted john to take the fall and then thought his life would go back to normal...then got himself in a bigger mess.....then another one after he wouldnt listen to john...i was mildy happy when they arrested him after all he put john through...i hated that they didnt show if he went to jail or witness protection program...which i feel like would be the greatest punishment not being able to talk to his family and run to family (john) when things dont go the way he wants it too

You guys were tremendous in this movie. Truly captivating and sometime extremely difficult to watch. (I am sensitive!) One is the Iron man and the other is the Strawman. Hero/ scapegoat. Everything twists and turns! I was sobbing just like the jurors when Sissy Space gave her testimony! Some review linked Bloodline to Crime and Punishment. Of course! The same Moral issues are in question. The movie reveals the complexity and the suffering of the human condition when we disregard our own Shadow and our own potential to do exactly what it is we despise and hate in another. Good or bad. Thank you for making such great show. I am not finished watching!!

I thought I'm going to quit watching but the scenery was so beautiful...Then after the episode 7 (I think), the retired detective appeared and it all started to get very interesting....I didn't expect that at all and then WOW!!! Really amazing end of season 1 and season 2...Completely unpredictable..I thought they're just going to "scare" us with Danny and then nothing will happen like in some other shows where they play music as if something's going to happen, but it doesn't or if something happens, it's not shocking enough... But in Bloodline a lot of crazy things happened and I loved it! I love how Kevin spoils everything due to the lack of self control and how John fixes it all back together, but my most favorite were Danny's and John's mediumship abilities, lol.
Love this crazy, unique shoe. I'm just about to finish Season 1. Love to bingewatch some shows, but I've really been savoring Bloodline. It's like a fine meal - don't gulp and save some for later on.
