Love your videos mate. You never cut out the little mishaps and hiccups that we all suffer from when fishing 😅 I’m glad you had a good couple of days at sea and sharing them with us!
Thanks for posting. I love having a bit of Salcombe in my life so pleased you always have a few views of Mill Bay and Sunny Cove on the way to the bar on the 'out' trip. Dad was from Salcombe and we still have summer holidays there. never had much luck catching stuff inside the bar, but have snorkeled with some good bass off South sands towards the Castle.
Nice video 👍 I'd suggest invest in a decent clip mic. That would make your videos more enjoyable to watch. I have recently bought a dji Action 4 with dji mic 2. It's unbelievable how good this thing is and it's a real game changer making videos. All the best, Cliff
Thanks Cliff, I’ll take a look. I use a GoPro and have just bought the media mod which I tried on my latest video in about 25 knots of wind. A Bluetooth clip mic that you could use from a camera without loosing the waterproof integrity would be perfect but I’ve not seen one that achieves this. Cheers 👍
Cracking video old chap, it was great to see, a few of my favourite fishing spots, Hippo, Gammon head, and Prawle point, sadly, gammon head is too step at my age, and the erosion at Prawle point, make it dangerous for me, but it was great to see East Prawle behind you, while you were playing with the Bass, hopefully I'll be down in September 🤓
Thanks for another enjoyable episode. Would you mind telling me what model Raymarine you operate? I'm looking to upgrade as I currently manage with a handheld GPS and lower end fish finder unit. I think Raymarine is compatible with Navionics. The market place is crowded with options so seeing one in action like yours seems a good starting point for my research! Thanks.
Thanks Gareth! Mine is the Element 7 with the HV 100 transducer and the Naviionics relief shading card. It works well for me and was the most economical unit I could find for the complete set up with shading from the major manufacturers. The inbuilt Light House chart is ok for navigation but very basic compared to relief shading, I wouldn’t be without that or the Garmin equivalent now. 👍
@@fishingsalcombe thanks very much for that Rob. Just spotted a very tempting offer on the Element HV 9 with the full package. Better get some brownie points in! 😉

Thanks mate, I like to show it how it is and as you know, it’s not always perfect conditions and big fish!👍

Thanks mate, those beaches are special and I agree, great snorkelling around the kelp just off the Castle 👍
Top gull wrangling! Great to see the bass in too.
Yes mate, hopefully they’ll start getting bigger too but great sport anyway 👍🎣
@@fishingsalcombeSalcombe's own Captain Bird's-eye. 😂
🤣🤣
Liked the video a lot. Thanks for sharing and some nice pollack 👍 greetz from Stipo from Holland
Thanks Stipo and great to hear from you from Holland! 👍🎣
Thanks for the NCI shout out!
You are very welcome. I and the fishing community at Salcombe all appreciate the work you do. Was it you that I met on the pontoon in Grey Goose?

Some nice fish and a gull 😅 and good video
Cheers for that, more fish and less bi-catch to come! 🤣
Glad you had nice bass ,don't think we need excuses to get out boat fishing ,good or bad
Cheers John 👍🎣
Chasing gulls off East Sussex last Saturday 2 nice sized bass
Agree 42cm fish hasnt had much of a chance to breed, 50cm+ is much better
Yes, nice to find a bigger fish if you can but great sport anyway 👍🎣

Thank you John, it is a fantastic bit of coastline, so lucky to have it on the doorstep 👍
Hi Mate
Great video, what’s the chart your using in your plotter
Cheers mate, it’s the Raymarine Lighthouse chart but the game changer is the Navionics Relief Shading that gives the detail 👍
Snagging a bird used to be something different up here Rob 😂😂
I could not comment Bri 🤣🤣

It took me ages to work out who it is that you remind me of, Robson Green. Better looking and a far better actor but, there similarities 😂
🤣🤣 Extreme gull catching?
Hi Rob. Another great video. Would you mind telling me what rod and reel your using for the bass please?
It’s an Abu Ike 7-24g spinning rod with a Penn Clash 2 3000. Thanks for watching 👍🎣
