You got away with all five fingers and toes along with no major bruises or broken bones. For a non-farrier that is a huge win.
Everyone needs to go back and watch Sissy trying to shoe her horse. Dad had to give her some pointers but by now she’s probably the expert. For us long time viewers we knew Ramzi was a Farrier by trade so this wasn’t his first rodeo. I’ve asked for more content exactly like this and to show what work is involved in keeping the horses ready to ride. Google says horses require attention from a farrier every four to six weeks depending on the surfaces the horse is ridden on. Cost runs about $150 for four shoes so to have your own in house farrier saves a lot of money. And having the boys critiquing their dad’s work was priceless!
My back feels for you nobody knows how hard a job that is.
Especially for a taller person!
Beautiful Colt, she did super for a first timer.
I'm impressed with both of you demonstrating trust and patience. The shoeing project was a total success. That colt is gonna make a fine roping/ranch horse. Thanks for sharing.
👍👍👏👏🇺🇲
2 video in week Thanks
Just imagine that all families were raised this way nationwide. Why........it would be the greatest generation.
That young horse did good with all the work it is shoeing a horse! Good job Ramz even for a 5!
Ramzi is one heck of a good cowboy/ rancher and a great father to those 9 kid's. And a very good husband.
This tells everything about the disposition of that young horse, good for kids...The farrier's disposition is a plus, too. Good job and good plan...get it done quick w/o big fight. The horse will get better in time.
I barely recognised Ramsi with his moustache ,haircut & new hat. Great job on the colts footware.
Always be faster than good when shoeing colts. Build patience over time
Looks like he knows what he is doing! very nice
For the first time that went fast and look like good job
Ramsey made it look easy. Good job.
Nicely done!
That’s pretty darn good! Shoeing a horse in under 1/2 hour! Certainly not a rookie.
Gary could explain process, like which way nail bevels go in to turn to the outside of hoof.
I’d say a ranking of 10!
If that was the first set of shoes that horse had ever gotten, you did an impressive job on an impressive colt! LOL
❤🎉😮 Always a great video when Ramzi shows his professional skills!! Thanks ANCHOR BRAND RANCH!! 🥰🇺🇲😍♥️🎥🐎🤠
Well done! Looked the real pro smithy. Love from Wales.
THANKS!
Yup excellent love how you and colt worked it out without ANY TEMPER TANTRUMS 👌 ❤😊❤
You were calm, patient and quiet, even during that one part when Sunny bear got a little bit bored and confused, so he remained relaxed also. Because of that, Sunny bear will probably be calm and quiet the next time he needs to be shod.... and also calm the time after that.
Nice to see you uploaded a video.
And because I don't know any thing about putting shoes ona horse all's I can say is good job
Well done with the shoeing love watching how you and family live. I’m in UK 🇬🇧 so don’t have ranching like you have over in the USA 🇺🇸. Thanks for sharing ❤
Good job!! I'm going to take a shot at shoeing my 3 year olds soon. Thanks for the video.
Good job ! 🇺🇸
What a great video
Almost didn’t recognize him for a few minutes😂😂 rocking the handle bar stache now
You make it look easy
Always instructional and entertaining. Doesn't Milwaukee make a tool to do all that??!!? Milwaukee is messing up. Anchor Brand Ranch could use a Milwaukee sponsorship. Cheers 🍾
You made it look easy and I know it's shure is hard work. I'll bet you've done many many horses 🐎
Awwww Sonny Bear was so well behaved for his first shoeing. Shows his great disposition. Nice professional work Ramzi. I keep mine barefoot here and trim my own. When I get both my horses done in one day ,,, i sure do feel it but it keeps me in shape at 66 . Maybe at 70 i might consider an electric hoof knife.
Good job
Ol colts doing good foreal
That kind of work makes beans and cornbread taste really good.
I have a prosthetic knee and ever since I had it installed I can’t pinch my knees around their leg/hoof anymore. It’s awkward even with good knees but dang near impossible with bad knees. I have to pay a farrier now and they aren’t cheap!
Beautiful colt and the other one across the fence sure is a pretty one also! Better size for the little cowboys!
No wrecks and no nails stuck in you no rasp marks on the pony . All good . I've had a few go arounds with some green horses and it's on fun for anyone. Take care have fun and be safe
5 out of 10!!! com'on
Good for you not giving up on the right hind. Never Let’em Win!!! But I’m sure you knew that.
Very interesting video shoeing 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I knew that wasn’t your first rodeo
Ramzi . Good job !
How did the cattle roundup go on Saturday?
Ramsey is pretty a pretty good hand !
Sorry Dad 5/10 😂 Kids!
How did the Cummins motor go in Ford pickup
Question. What was. These r from on his side. Love these videos ❤️❤️❤️
YOU did a good job on a young horse. Feel sorry for YOUR back.
He's got shoes that count
Dim must be a different kind of Nail down here in South Carolina. They don't go in, right unless there's a little spit on them, LOL.
I’ve got one that needs his first set of shoes . When can you shoe him?
You are good at it but I have to wonder if you think it might be worthwhile to fabricate a shoeing stall of some kind where you can tie up their feet?
Awsme.
I'm member when miss Roxy got her first showing lesson. Write there in the same spot.
🇺🇲🇵🇷🇲🇽😎 Good Morning., Happy Cinco Demayo.
He who votes less than seven out of 10 gets to do the job next time!
Looks good to me and the camera man did a great job. My only recommendation would be to wear steel toed boots.
How long has this guy been shoeing ??
didnt recognise that boss in the white hat. hows riley s arm healing. flex tennis ball and tricep and bicep, swimming actually elongates and strenthens. God bless you all. amen
❤
Rancer better be careful with the criticism, he might just get himself unwillingly appointed ⚓️ Anchor Brand Ranch head ranch ferrier 😂
We want to see of Roxy
It needs a mention, but they’ve obviously done a lot of work with the colt in handling his feet, for those who don’t know a horse absolutely hates having his feet off the ground, it’s take a couple weeks of 10-15 minutes a day of just lifting and holding each foot, start slow and don’t go too high or too long at the beginning… even if you have a good broke horse do your shoer a favor and lift his feet occasionally to keep them accustomed to it, also that’s a really quick job for someone who doesn’t do it everyday, bet he feels it in the morning😂
Have any of your kids shown an interest in becoming a ferrier?
👏👏👏👏👏👏😊
What's the total number of horses/ponies on ABR?
Good question

Thanks for the share, enjoyed watching and learning about it, including your decision making. Simple vids like this are just as good if not better then all the extra BS others put into theirs. Thanks ABR
You’ve done a lot of horses, coming from an old horseshoes!
How old is that colt?
3
Kind of like giving a kid his first haircut.
Shoe looks better than that concrete
👍👍👍👍💪💪💪💪💪💪🙏🙏🙏🙏✍
A mustache like that is likely to get you a chance for another daughter!
My grandad told that you would go to hell pounding on cold iron
You charge by the hour, you'll go broke. 😮
He did that in 30 minutes that’s $200 dollars an hour.
I costs about a hundred dollars per horse now days.
That brings memories back.
Ya need to get Ridge to give your camera man lessons.
I thought he did just fine.
Next time put a piece of duck tape on the nose his or mind will try to get the tape off 😅
shod your own horses saves money. who s next to pick up the shoing mantel. cant fight horses all your life. lol
Stood there like he was being milked. The comments don't realize you are retired pro. Did you say he was off the wild herd? You would think nature would have eliminated all the white feet with scratches, that is unless the scratches organisms don't live in Nev.
I really dislike that job
The job he did or the job itself?
@@Patrick42567 the job having them lean on you sit on you or blasting your lights out. He is as real as you can get. I am 60 years old and love seeing young men like this doing what I do every day what a blessing.
Well, i think the mustache suits u way better than the beard👍, that horse was real calm getting new shoes🐴
You need a strong back to trim and shoe horses .....great colt , fairly quiet for first time having shoe s fitted !
