That dacitmas tech is so fucking big for pacman, one of the biggest problems in neutral with the champ is that fruits are unsafe on shield if you go for a regrab, and then you are stuck in the air with no options besides rethrow, if you dacitmas then cancel the special into an aerial, you could go for a nair regrab store that would allow you to keep fruit on ur nspecial charged while safely pressuring shields

Yeah smash review I needed this, I have a very bad cold right now and uncontrollable coughing
With the DK and Steve clip. All characters have different ECBs (environmental collision boxes) for different physiques, but one thing that even data miners seem to ignore, is that a lot of characters have ECBs that shift after certain actions and states are reached that makes the ECB take on different qualities with that shape change. Steve's ECB must have had it's ground detection glitched from the actions in their match up until that point, so DK's down special couldn't detect him as 'on the ground' to attack and it missed. Weather it be a move, getting hit, having a move charged, being in a special animation, getting grappled, holding an item, or even the stock and percentage deficits, underdog boost and actual shape of the stage and where you are on it all can change the structure of an ECB. Z axis stuff messes with ECBs weirdly, which is why you'll see a lot of glitches with hit detection breaking after it's been messed up, like sharking through the stage on certain recoveries at very specific timing, that's one that shifts your ECB for only a few frames to make the trick happen, but others, like the Halbert glitch, displacing your hurtbox from your ECB do to stack overflow on your character's ECB location going out of the calculated bounds of the stage and having your hurtbox set to infinite as a result because it tries to teleport to the ECB for spacing calculations (You're ECB is your characters origin, not their model, that's why Mythra's side special throws people off so much) but it's hidden during death animations to reset on the angel plat. This type of quality to characters is usually ignored and it's why glitches like Ness' infinite jacket, Icies freezing glitch in melee and Meta knights cape glitch in brawl aren't understood better, and why some glitches in Ultimate are super circumstantial and hard to replicate a lot of the time.
for the dacitmas, i found an easier way is just using jump and grab to z catch an item on the ground or in the air. it gives you way more options and is way less difficult to do
The DK down b thing happened to me as well against cloud in the training room with mods on Pokémon stadium 2 on that side of the ledge as well. I was doing it in Yuzu and I wasn’t able to replicate it, but cloud was in the animation of standing at the edge of the stage and I was just spamming down b and somehow it was missing.
Dash attack cancel jump I knew was a good tech, neutral wise but with items it does get crazy

pretty sure the dk thing has something to do with ps2 slants. things weirdly don't hit on ps2 ledges cause of the very very small slant sometimes
@BeefySmashDoods that setup with the hydrant and bell reminded me of something I found earlier this year.
If Pac-Man has bell in hand and is under a platform, vs certain characters (it’s height dependent) he can do footstool into hydrant, and if he holds the jump button, he’ll clip through the platform and end the move grounded on it with enough frame advantage to combo into bell and then fsmash. With rage on SBF vs Pikachu, this can kill at around 30%.
Depending on the character, the way hydrant sends them is determined by which way they’re facing, so even though they have a better chance of escaping if they di down and away, they need to both react to getting hit by footstool>hydrant AND know which way it’ll send.
Also works with other fruit, but bell is the most useful to hit a lot of the time.
