The second most important position on a football team is an interesting question. All of the candidates-LT, edge rusher, and WR-revolve around the QB. One protects the QB, one disrupts him, and one enables him. I’d eliminate the LT because he’s part of a unit where a top rusher could move to another location for his best matchup. The LT is mitigated if the rusher lines up over, say, the RT. Both top WR and rushers can take over games but I’d say the edge rusher. A great pass rusher like JJ has so many ways of impacting the game even beyond sacks-forced fumbles, batted balls, even INTs. Regardless, great question by Dan.
