I like to run two leashes when it's overhead, a 4 foot leash on my back leg and a 7 foot leash on my front leg, that way I can get my board back quick no matter what direction I fall off

Just stop with the asymmetrical nonsense already. If asyms worked believe me every good surfer on the planet would be riding them. “Showcase that this stuff can work” ok please showcase it can work so the world can finally stop hearing how well asyms work yet all the asym believers have to constantly prove they do work because in reality they don’t. Fun maybe, stylish maybe, different feel definitely but work better than an on point normal shaped shortboard…never… simple as that

@@Emblemqueel surfers love change they will do anything that helps them ride waves better and with a better feeling….The problem with asyms is in theory they are for going in a straight line on a left or right wave… very rarely if ever does a surfer go purely straight or for that matter ever want to go purely straight. The real surfer wants to get barreled and go straight yes but they want to also go up and down and side to side on a wave. Try the asym and the regular board like you said see what you think:) and do what you like

asyms are fun and try to counteract your natural differences between toe and heel side turns. you don't turn the same on your toe and heel side, so we can make up for those differences with an asymmetrical board. not sure why you have such a hardon against them, it's fun to experiment
@@mrskibum885 I don’t have a hardon against them. I’m just tired of hearing guys that like them try to convince the surfing world that they are so awesome and everyone is missing out. It’s been decades of asyms they are not new and they still have not caught on with any serious high performance surfer. What’s your reason or logic why that’s the case? Why haven’t they caught on? Why do asym riders talk like they are trying to convince themselves that they work? And yeah dude they are for mainly going straight they were invented for specific style of waves not for the reasons you describe you hipster twirp
