So sad to hear of her passing a few days ago. I give her the credit that I am who I am today because of her strength to overcome spousal abuse. As a teenager seeing my father physically abusing my mom, Ms. Turner’s life gave me that strength to find a good man and not repeat the life of my mom. I have that good man because she gave me inspiration to find that good man! Thank you Tina! Love you 💕

Todo a pesar de una vida nada fácil, primero fue niña no deseada y abandonada, luego mujer maltratada, la ruina económica, como madre recibió el duro golpe de la muerte prematura de dos de sus hijos. Su carrera musical le ayudó a sobreponerse de todo y de todos. A pesar de ello queda para la reflexión una de sus frases más celebres: "La gente piensa que mi vida ha sido dura, pero ha sido un viaje maravilloso".
El mundo de la música está de luto, pues dice adiós a una leyenda. Tina Turner ha muerto este miércoles a los 83 años, en su casa de Küsnacht, cerca de Zúrich, en Suiza, donde había establecido su residencia junto al productor musical alemán Erwin Bach, con quien se casó en el año 2013 tras casi 30 años de relación. Desgraciadamente, ese mismo año cuando consigue su nacionalización como ciudadana suiza, Turner sufrió un incidente cerebrovascular y tres años después se supo que sufría cáncer intestinal. Sus penas se agravaron con la muerte de dos de sus cuatro hijos, Craig en 2018 y Ronnie el año pasado.
Tina Turner se había retirado de los escenarios tras una gira de despedida en 2009, cunado contaba con 69 años. Ella fue una de las voces más características de la música rock.Comenzó su carrera a mediados de los años 50 haciendo rhythm and blues junto a su primer marido, Ike Turner. A pesar del éxito fue una etapa especialmente complicada, ya que su pareja la maltrató sistemáticamente, tanto física como psíquicamente. La cantante pidió el divorcio en 1978, año en el que su vida profesional cambió completamente, marcada por un estilo propio, que destacaba en una escena rock masculinizada. Turner abrió el camino para las estrellas negras del rock y para muchas cantantes blancas. Tras lanzar su álbum "Let's Stay Together" llegó a vender ocho millones de ejemplares, y llenó tantos estadios que el Guiness de Récord la consideró la artista que había reunido más público en sus conciertos. De aquella época quedan himnos como "We Don't Need Another Hero" o "The Best". No se bajó de los escenarios hasta su retirada. Su fuerza externa era el reflejo de una gran determinación personal.
