And the folks who are not happy about the Chennai part, please ride the bike & you will understand why they showcased the city. The first day when I rode the classic, all I was thinking was ..'a fellow brother of mine from chennai would have crafted her & some odd 2000 kilometers away, I am riding the gem'

In 2013 after booking my first motorcycle Classic 350, i used to see this video almost everyday. 10 years later, while seeing this video I still own the same Classic 350 and have booked the All new Himalayan 450. Royal Enfield the way they have grown over these years is such an inspiration. Though i work for some other motorcycle Co. there is a huge emotional connect with this brand. Eagerly awaiting for my Hanle Black Himalayan 450

Got tingles from this...made me miss India bad, then reminded me I have a little of it with me when I ride to work every morning (ride an EFI G5 Bulllet here in Australia). A profound concept, beautifully shot that captures the pride Indian's take in this machine and the land from where it's fashioned. Has W+K Delhi written all over it. Perfect.

Each city has it's own character.There is nothing to be ashamed of in loving the city.Every Indian should be proud of the uniqueness of each and every city because we have a plethora of such small things to cherish as an Indian.

Superb ad...the soul of Chennai and the soul of Royal Enfield put into a 2 minute ad. A royal enfield has a certain charm to it, unlike the plastic toys which seem lifeless before this metal hunk.

I saw this around a decade back but keep on coming back.
This is nice,works in a lot about culture and tradition of India and pride in the machine by the workers.I am just now coming around to respect for the folks who made my 1999 Bullet Deluxe,bought new.In spite of all the ridiculous failures and problems,it is one of my favorite rides.These were something to master,but basically good,with real ties to the very beginnings of motorcycling.

This is classic advertising. And it's only possible with a classic product.
I can NEVER understand what goes on in the minds of all those people (though handful) who dislike this. No matter what they pretend out here, I am sure even their heads make a turn & lips form a smile - involuntarily - when they see the Royal Enfield pass by them on the streets.
Give up the ego, fellows! Respect the Royal.

@pitviper872 I can tell by the "Robot" movie ad billboard within the film that this was shot a few months ago, well before the "Imported from Detroit" commercial was released - it's likely just a coincidental overlap of styles.

Great commercial. I drive GSXR 1100 streetfighter but I have a great fondness for these machines. Looking forward to touring India on a 500cc Bullet later this year. Plan to take on the Leh to Malia highway and the infamous Rohtang Pass.

I agree with you completely, brother; this ad showcases and elevates the humanity of the rider, and through it, displays the extent to which we define a mode of transport by the qualities of its riders. For most of us base our selection of bike or car on the make of the machine that our fathers drove. RE has thrown out of the window all reference to symbols of status or power; instead it seeks to give us a symbol of love, respect and admiration. I am proud of my machines: a Chetak and a Bullet.

Hmmm, my Bullet still runs on its original tyres, the rest has been changed due to failure...Its 10 years old with 13500kms on the clock..Now broken again..

It's 2022. Truly, maybe the last chance ever, when one can buy a factory OHV engine'd "Bullet" in India. The J-series maybe a fine piece of equipment, but RE buyers who built the brand weren't looking for finesse anyway.

What is the name of the song and the performer used in commercial?
the ad is over emotional. Doesnt make me go out and buy the bike. seems more like a tribute to the popular culture of Southern India. If I watch this ad, and see a Harley Davidson or Ducati on the road, I would choose the Harley/Ducati. Ad fails.
