All of the frozen Cathedral City stuff is produced by Iceland stores, they are just using the Cathedral City brand name under license. Cathedral City themselves only produce cheese. I believe they license the brand name for a range of fresh food as well with a different retailer. Like Iceland sell frozen TGI Fridays branded products produced exclusively for Iceland, Tesco sell refrigerated and ambient TGI Fridays branded products under license, but none of these things are produced by TGI Fridays themselves. Iceland stores have basically found a way of selling cheap frozen crap by obtaining licenses from well known brands and selling said cheap frozen crap at premium prices. Hence Iceland sell TGI Fridays. Greggs. Cathedral City. Harry Ramsden's, and the other takeaway brands in the frozen sector. Most of it is made in Poland or China, which is why its cheap to produce. A value added proposition I think the term is.
