Sabine Wren might have struggled in her first duel with Shin Hati... but let's not forget that she is a Mandalorian and that their culture is based around fighting the Jedi and other force sensitives. Today we take a look at all of the training and equipment she has that makes her very well suited at fighting against people just like Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati.

I may have done something wrong, but I don't think your code works in addition promotion. At least it didn't when I purchased.
I thought there was actually a missile in Sabine's jetpack. The small cone at the center on the top is the head of it. It doesn't have the range of like others that Mandalorians use, but it still packs a punch when it detonates. There was a point in the series where I think either she fired it or someone else with the same kind of jetpack fired one. I don't recall which episode it was, but I'm pretty sure it was either season 3 and/or 4.
Still fucking retarded that sabine shook off a lightsaber quenching itself in her chest and actually survived
Armor is not as restrictive as you think it is I chalk the lack of armor platting on sabine as she is a woman therefore has a woman's hips and back... my gf has a hard enough time walking with her boobs simply existing
I do love your star wars content.
It is a anti Semitic statement for you to say/state that its anti Semitic for jews to be stated as a race ... we are many things
Boy , you need to open your mind to let the ignorance out and knowledge and wisdom in so you can separate yourself from your cognitive biases.
We jews are a race , a culture and a religion , witch is where much confusion happens in speech is that many people do not well define something(like a train of thought) they speak of before building the basis for a conversation.
I enjoy your well thought out starwars content .
It's interesting, you have grogu who's The Jedi training to be a mandalorian, and Sabine who's a mandalorian training to be a Jedi
Now we just need to get them to meet
And teach the other something beneficial to their studies.
It rhymes!
Probably not going to happen this season, but I would love to see Sabine and Ahsoka interact with the Armourer. Maybe Sabine's armour needs repairs she can't do, and Ahsoka basically says "I know a guy". Lots of cool stuff with Sabine visiting Mandalore, Bo-Katan, ect... but Ahsoka and the Armourer could make for some great scenes. Both are quite mystically attuned.
Anyways... They learn the Darksaber was destroyed, and Huyang makes some comment about how that is a pity because it was such an interesting and unique design (maybe something about how it was actually designed to be superior at defense). Maybe it requires some pure beskar to make.
The Armourer customizes Sabine's armour to be more fitting for her hybrid fighting style, and Huyang, and Ahsoka make Grogu a little white version of the Darksaber using one of crystals from Ahsoka's lightsabers.
Damn Sabine has literally been everything: imperial, rebel, bounty hunter, mandalorian, Jedi!
also struggling artist... which I assumes means she also waited tables
@@GenerationTech Damn, I wasn't prepared for that one 😂
She does have a table in her spaceships.
has a hidden bar rag compartment on her armor..
She put in the grinding and varied her tech tree
I’d argue Sabine drew her saber hoping that alone would intimidate. She didn’t know she was facing a force user.
She was grinning when she drew, not so much when Hati did.
That was my take as well. You could practically see the "oh shit" on her face when her opponent drew hers as well
Yeah, I was thinking that too! She probably knew that without her armor, she wasn't in the best shape to fight.
Something I find interesting is how Dave Filoni has one series where a Jedi chooses to become a Mandalorian and another series where a Mandalorian chooses to become a Jedi.
A jedi becoming mandalorian had happened before, in legends bardan walked away and was adopted by clan skirata. Same w etan.
“It’s like poetry”

@@martinsonofwar395 right, it's been a minute. 👍
It'd be cool to see Sabine fight in her Mandalorian armor with a lightsaber.
We know she does from the trailer.
She did against the darksaber in Rebels
Yeah, I was thinking we've seen it a time or two in rebels, but I'm guessing the intended meaning was a desire to see her use a lightsaber while armored in live action
Won't be the first time
@@devo1977s story-wise, correct. in live-action, it will be the first.
As a brazilian sephardic jewish, I feel proud to be used as an example in one of Generation Tech's videos!
😀
@@GenerationTechyou were spot on in your comparison, as indeed Mandos are pretty much like us: a bunch of clans united together by their culture, not "race" as many think
I would hope this is actually where the current story brings us: to Sabine becoming a warrior who has basic control of the Force, but with the whole arsenal of Mandolorian tactics at her disposal.
yea I think this probably the best way to go
A mandalorian with a lightsaber, 6th sense and precognition just feels illegal, way too OP
well I doubt it will be any good, so far they seem to have forgotten she was trained by a blind jedi.
@@rapson158I mean why do you think the dark saber exists? It was made by one of the few Mandalorian Jedi that were born and is very entrenched in Mandalorian history.
@@501stappo8 Ye but darksaber itself doesnt give you foresight and 6th sense, a veteran mandalorian with just those 2 things could be a Jedi-master level threat
It's belived that one of the reasons Jango Fett was chosen as the clone template WAS that he was mandalorian, he had killed jedi before, and since one of the final steps of was to take out the jedi, this was an important trait to have.
Sabine isn't a jedi, she's mandalorian.
Her main gear is jetpack, pistols, vambrace gadgets and her armor, not light clothes and light saber.
A mandalorian without their armor, is no mandalorian at all.
Yeah i really hope sabine doesn't try to fight fairly next time... its really not the mandalorian way ;)
"Here's why you can't exterminate us, aruetii. We're not huddled in one place-we span the galaxy. We need no lords or leaders-so you can't destroy our command. We can live without technology-so we can fight with our bare hands. We have no species or bloodline-so we can rebuild our ranks with others who want to join us. We're more than just a people or an army, aruetii. We're a culture. We're an idea. And you can't kill ideas-but we certainly can kill you." -Mandalore the Destroyer
Mandalorians are more than their armor. More than their bloodlines. Somewhere along the way through the generations those beliefs got lost in translation. Sabine is more akin to the older Mandalorians because of her willingness to be flexible in her beliefs. Whatever path she is walking will be the toughest challenge she will ever face, but she's willing to continue... Hopefully
Yes, Count Dooku had a run in with Jango and personally witnessed Jango kill 6 Jedi with his bare hands. Being the sole survivor he was given over to a Governor and then sold into slavery. Ironic.
@@GenerationTechpossible forbidden lightsaber move!?
@@TiL_Deimos OH YES I HOPE SO
Sabine also needed to be able to move through crowds without standing out. Her armour seems more decorative while still being fully functional, and she gets better equipped as their mission become more military focused. She adapts, as all Mandalorians do, and becomes a better warrior, so training under a Jedi fits her character.
I think Sabine will eventually learn how to wield the Force properly and become decently skilled. Her issue seems to be her Mandalorian mindset and all the strife in her life coupled with the fact that she's one of the oldest people to ever begin Force training so she's got a lot keeping her from just going with the flow and feeling it out. When she gets into a corner though we're gonna see her Force Push Shin down a hallway or something.
2:52 Pre Vizla, Bo-Katan and Death Watch: "We don't want peace! We want problems! Always!"
I really like the live action portrayal of Sabine so far. Looking forward to seeing her story arc.
Sabine needs her armor and gadgets damn it
doesn't stop her being a Jedi. Remember that the military Jedi in the Clone Wars, when necessary, had armour. Although not shown often, it's noted in the novels.
Don’t forget that Sabine is also a High Explosives Demolition Expert.
Clan Wren refers that to the ‘art of the battlefield’
I hope the writers don't forget.
Sabine with a lightsaber, basic force ability to weld it, combined with her being a Mandalorian sounds amazing
Mandalorian is defined by "Winning a battle but losing the war", every time.
achieving a minor victory that ultimately results in a larger defeat, rendering the victory empty or hollow. It can also refer to gaining a small tactical advantage that corresponds to a wider disadvantage.
Worth it
After Order 66, it’s no longer the case as it was.
Ironically that's what they want. To face an opponent that they can't win against and they'll keep making war until they get it.
That's the Mandalorian way. To fight and seek stronger opponents.
@@graveyardshift6691 Rep it
I'm hoping Sabine Wren mandalorian past & tools might be incorporated into her fight against the dark jedi. Imagine what a danger a slightly force sensitive mandalorian could be against any force sensitive who is too force dependent can be. They're not a hard counter to the Jedi or Sith but they're a great soft counter albeit she may be better off with a vibro blade or some kind of blade made from light saber resistant material, it doesn't have to be all mandalorian iron. A kind of "back to basics" approach to dealing with force users.
There is a mandalorian saying that i think goes well with Sabine's color scheme
"Its one thing to see me coming, quite another to do something about it"
Mandalorian and Ahsoka are mirrored stories.
In the Mandalorian, a former Jedi Youngling, who is extremely powerful in the force, gives up the way of the Jedi to follow the Mandalorian creed. All while tracking down an imperial remnant.
In Ahsoka, a Mandalorian with almost no force sensitivity shelves her Mandalorian training to follow the way of the Jedi, all while tracking down a lost friend and an imperial remnant.
And can we just appreciate how Ahsoka knows Luke is trying to rebuild the jedi order, yet she is traveling with Huyang, possibly the best resource in rebuilding the Jedi order?
Sabine is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the galaxy. She has her issues, sure. But who wouldn’t after the life she has already lived. I’m loving what we see in live action.
One of the reasons Mandalorians aren't supposed to remove their helmets outside the home is that they are meant to be united between many races. If you're all in your armor with helmets on, you don't see humans, zabraks, taungs, etc. You only see Mandalorians
I look forward to see her using her wrist repulsor (I thinks that's what she might use in the shot we got from the trailers where she's got her hand risen towards Shin) and her explosives. The latter was one of her defining traits in the Rebels show so I hope she's still a demolitionist at heart!
Grievous did once use his lightsabers to lock up a Jedi Knight's saber before shooting him in the stomach with his blaster and it was very effective although a Jedi Master would probably have enough experience and skill with Precognition in order to anticipate such a trick.
That's why Sabine needs fear, surprise, and intimidation on her side.
@@moonshine588 As recommended by HK-47 AND Count Dooku.
PS: My worst nightmare is of Chopper and HK meeting, the universe wouldn't survive.
i always liked Ezra's 1st lightsber-stungun in one
I agree. Sabine is already a great warrior, I'd love to see her master the lightsaber fight. The only thing that I wouldn't like is she suddenly starting to move big rocks and stuff like that, it would be another thing happening "somehow". It would be nice to have some explanation on when and why Ahsoka started to train her in the first place since they never had a strong connection during Rebels, but other than that I'm all in for Sabine to take front stage.
And as Kanan told her, when she used the vambraces, and he still kicked her butt, the Jedi won the war against Mandalore.
"B-b-but flamethrower!"
"Yeah? Telekinesis."
That bit about wide-receivers not wearing their pads was too accurate 😂. Always getting yelled at part way though a game when coach finally notices
Sabine is about to become the first true mandalore since the darksaber was created, how on earth could you not be excited for this
Ehh she's even more of an outcast than Din was.
She abandoned her culture in its entirety
Grogu's more likely to become a Mandalore than Sabine
Hell she had the opportunity and gave it away to Bo-Katan
Would of liked to see her help retake Mandalore, not sitting around on lothal
I’m not sure she’s gonna become a Mandalore. But once she finds her niche, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with, even if she has banal control of the Force.
Cause from episode one she's already invincible? 😂
The show begins with her being gut stabbed, and because of the retconning in Book of Boba, we now know even impure Beskar can deflect any and all blaster fire.
Shes unkillable, and we all know she's gonna develop her skills unbelievably quickly. No more long training arcs like what Ashoka had to slow through.
I don't see a reason to get attached to someone when there are no stakes for them. I just respect the show for being upfront about it from the beginning.
@@sinistersweet5236 I don’t think they’ll pull a jedi leia or Rey palpatine with Sabine. She has plot armor+ sure but I don’t think she’s getting too big of a power boost out of nowhere. The show this is named after on the other hand….
I'm waiting for the point where the topic of "oh Sabine is Mandalorian" is mentioned to Huyang and he's just like "WAIT, WHAT, YOU MEAN LIKE THAT GUY WHO I HELPED MAKE THAT CRAZY BLACK LIGHTSABRE?", damn that Droid is gonna need a new set of protocols to deal with the fact that he's got a trained and vetted Mando on board.
Sabine Wren is becoming the canon version of Jaina Solo and I love to see it.
Excellent video. The amount of detailed yet relevant information that was provided exceeded all expectation.
Thank you for practicing the light side of Star Wars fandom! I love learning from your videos without the negativity that a lot of other channels have
Appreciate it Harrison!
Frankly I am all for seeing a new Mandalorian Jedi. Ever since I heard about Tar Visla I have thought the idea sounded rad as hell
I wonder if Huyang and Tar Visla met, was Huyang wondering "what in the sweet name of the force kind of lightsabre have I wrought?!?"
Imagine how strong she will be, not only with the force with mando training, but with her armor combined with it all makes PERFECT for killing anytype of force users.
I like the open and balanced points you presented. Nice video!
Welp it's more like overcome & adapt.

Best end to a video on star wars ever - Thanks Allen!
Very good points. I like her a lot. Thanks for the video.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I’m so glad someone is finally addressing this issue. Great video. I absolutely agree I hope Sabine realizes she is not a Jedi although she may be a force yielding Mandalorian
That Wide Receiver analogy was amazing.
Great video!
11:15 - Blaster and Sabre is my favourite stance for Cal Kestis in Jedi Survivor ... So fully agree there 😁
Refreshing to see someone highlight how interesting Star Wars can be!
Number one, I truly enjoy his backgrounds. In one video it is a skyscraper view. In another it is a plush backyard. Number two, I often imagined a Jedi wielding a light saber and a blaster in battle simultaneously. Number three, I miss the ending, "If you are watching this you are Generation Tech."
Since about 2000 in kindergarten, i had always dreamt of seeing a live action Mandalorian Jedi.
Hati too Sabine: *catching a strike from Sabine with the Force* “ You have no POWER.”
Sabine: “I’m Mandolorian .”, “I don’t need power!” *Blocks a saber strike from Hati with her gauntlet* “I have ARMOR.”
*Gives Hati a MANDOLORIAN KISS!(helmet covered headbutt)
Nice video as always.
Could you make a video where you explain the entirety of yoda's lore in yoda speak ?
Have a great day
Imagine: Mandelorians with ysalamiri frame beskar backpacks, keeping their fuzzy little friends safe, and blocking their Jedi's abilities to use the Force around them.
I'm kind of surprised none of them have thought of that.
I personally love how Sabine is getting a little more personality in the live action version. She was a bit of a blank slate in Rebels.
Ashoka isn't teaching her to be a jedi , but how to use a light saber.
Jedi & Mandalorian would be the best dynamic duo since Batman and Robin 😊.
Nah. She's a novice Jedi, but she's NOT a novice warrior.
Though I haven’t seen Rebels in its entirety, seen clips on CZcams, Sabine isn’t that novice as a Jedi, she was trained by two Jedi in Rebels.
@@whitewolf3051Splitting hairs a bit... but those Jedi weren't really training Sabine is to be a Jedi. They were training her to use the Darksaber effectively.
I think part of Ahsoka (series) will be "what makes a Jedi", and I think the answer will be a sort of creed. Anyways that's what Sabine hasn't learned, and frankly Ahsoka (and Huyang) need to invent/rediscover. The new Jedi won't be like the prequels Jedi Order... that Jedi Order failed catastrophically and basically helped plunge the galaxy into war and Imperial rule. Not exactly a good model to just copy (like Luke is trying and we know fails at).
Thrawn approves of your analysis of her armor.
Great video, forgot I wasn’t even subscribed
I’m really excited to see where Sabine’s character goes in Ahsoka, I enjoyed her development in Rebels 👍
I really hope she goes all in on being a Jedi, making her lightsaber and everything
I mean she even has Huyang there already!!
The optimal way to fight a lightsaber fight would be with a gungan shield in one hand and a saber spear in the other XD
1000% agree! Sabine needs to just embrace what already makes her a badass and consider the lightsaber just another weapon to add to her arsenal. Not get hung up on the precognition that she doesn't have the force sensitivity for anyway.
Thank you
I'm thinking about it It seems like Sabine has a very similar loadout to boba Fett aside from her rocket launcher jetpack which she doesn't have. So she is built to move around her loadout is oriented towards that ability to move around. And the fact that she has an advanced helmet rather than what's probably a low-end helmet like didn't have so yeah having that little targeting system on her helmet is probably going to be pretty cool when you know it'd be really cool if they switch to a first-person perspective from her for a sort of fight scene where she has to kind of blast her so instead of us watching them exchange and stuff it switches to her POV and you just kind of see targeting reticle and those moving around as she moves her blasters and then she starts firing and it just be really cool to have kind of you know a short stint where she clears a hall or something like that. Pew pew pew pew
I remember when the doom movie with the rock went FPS it wasss so cool, would love to see that here
Grievous did the blaster/lightsaber move on Kit Fistos former apprentice on the third moon of Vassek and Kanan tried to use that move on the grand inquisitor on Tarkins ISD.
When it comes to Sabine's Mandalorian Vambraces, I am the only one who notices the coloring and patterns match that of her family's armor which we see in the following episode of Rebels?
Makes me wonder where Fenn Rau got them from and might be why he glossed over it.
10:36 I noticed she hadn’t donned her jet pack with the rest of her armor in episode 2. I hope to see that in future episodes.
Damn good analysis and it also explains why Ahsoka wants Sabine to be herself a badass Mandalorian not a traditional Jedi.
Sabine is one of my favs in star wars, the the fact that she is now the padawan of ashoka, plus with her mandalorian weaponry, yeah. Force sensitives gonna need to watch out.
Mandalorians have weaknesses but Jedi aren’t one of them. They don’t need no stinking force to be a credible threat to anyone including force users .
Alan, you do know that you can just compared the Mandalorians to the Vikings and the Mongols, right? And by that, I mean when it comes to how warlike they are.
Touché my man!!!!!
I don't mind the sabine padawan arc, I just thought it wasn't foreshadowed, which made it feel like it was a sudden idea thrown in. I still haven't seen anything which makes me think they foreshadowed it. I even went back and watched your recent videos about sabine, and I still see nothing.
Besides, we already have a force sensitive madalorian, grogu.
Great video though, love it as always.
We've seen that beskar can be forged into chain mail. What's to say it can't be forged into thread like strands that could be interwoven into a pressure suit? Sure, it wouldn't be as protective as a plate of beskar, but it could provide some protection.
I'm pretty sure anyone who is complaining about live-action Sabine never actually watched Rebels. She is the exact same character.
If I were Force-sensitive, I'd *still* want those Mandalorian vambraces. Imagine using telekinesis to direct the whip and flame in unexpected directions.
"The mandalorians would learn from them and then use their own culture against them"
::Thrawns theme plays::
What i have always woundered about is why no one in the SW Galaxy ever developed a hard counter to the mandalorian way of warfare. At least one that does not involve the Jedi, or going into the Marquis…
Well Sabine herself designed the anti-beskar weapon, but duno if that counts
I hope to see a fight that includes both Sabine's lightsaber and shield projector.
I am with you 100% Alan...
Vince Papale was an American football wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1970s but wore q quarterback's padding because he found his own pads too heavy to play in
I think it Sabine remembers where she's from, and then uses that, she'll deal with Shin pretty handily.
Yes! somebody else noticed that she left her armor. Not a bad show. Not great. But I did enjoy Rebels, and it is nice to see a continuation.
Clones killed no more than 10k jedi while mandalorians have been in wars with force users for tens of thousands of years and fought jedi when they were at their most numerous and most likely have over a million force user kills
Jedi always talk about joining the force, would be rude to deny them that
The one thing about sabine wren is in what I have seen of her armor there missing 2 things she (in rebels) changes her armour paint scheme especially after (being one of only seven to survive vader in direct story line) Vader's attack she always kept the phionix symbol and the owl symbol which in a way shows her struggle with her people and family and a tribute to her mother and family as ercilla wren was a night owl in death watch and it is a subtle hint of morilie the owl of ashla that follows ashoka a hint of sabine future by dave filoni and he is famous for developing/ revealing characters over time.
I thought the imperial super commandos were wearing plastoid not beskar? that's why the duchess burned them when sabine changed the settings
9:30 Sabine is also like that one lacrosse player that just never wears elbow protection… or that ice hockey player that doesn’t use kidney pads
I'm glad you haven't written off Ahsoka like some of the other Star Wars channels. I'm not sure if they hate stories with women as the lead characters or if they want to damage Disney for various reasons. So far I'm into the show and want to see where it goes.
Most Star Wars channels are still covering the show and are hyped by it.
Those you're talking about aren't Star Wars channels. Those are manbaby/neckbeard channels. They preach "masculinity" while spending all their time finding something to get triggered by and making "rant" videos on them.

I was so disappointed in her first fight with Shin. She's a total badass.
Like when she took out a platoon of Stormtroopers with jetpacks by herself
Well that would basically be powered down and armored up version of Bode Akuna
When Shin Hati says to Sabine in a future conflict "You have no power" i'm just hoping Sabine says "yes I do, I am Mandalorian" and lights her ass up with her flamethrower and some whistling birds/rockets!
I love how you end it on "Seriously?"
What kind of motorcycle helmet is that in the background on the shelf behind you?
Huyang will be the real judge on if Sabine is a Jedi or not!

Ahsoka: Sabine!
Sabine: What?
Ahsoka: Execute Order 66!
I think another great force using madalorian concept would be a mando with nightsister magic. On top of mando gear, they’d have spells, one in particular being invisibility, and that’s a whole different monster to come to terms with: an unseen mando getting the drop on his prey 😂
The M in M-Lok stands for Mandalorian
Something that I’ve noticed with Ahsoka’s training does not mention of stuff like reaching out with feelings like Obiwan and Yoda said to Luke.
