Went on quite the rabbit hole reading up on this. The dev / publisher is so nebulous & vague that i'm willing to wager all they do is scam investors with crap, half baked games that get abandoned in early access and are probably using AI generation to speed up the process.

It can't classify as intellectual property as it only has a few geometric shapes and is therefore in the Public domain. They did there research to make sure they don't get a lawsuit but as much as I hate to say its legal its still shitty to do and you ofc will be labeled a pos.

The Logo is only a couple of Geometric shapes and can be created by accident in many cases. Still, it can also be attributed as an arrow head and as such, it can't be copyrightable as it is far too simple. It would be like trying to copyright a Diamond shape or a combination of a few Geometric shapes. It would fall apart if it were a Typeface but it isn't. It doesn't meet the threshold of originality even if they did monetize it, it still wouldn't be able to be copyright protected. The devs made sure to not take any Assets from any other company and it shows they had a legal team to help them as you may think they stole a bunch of Assets from Among Us and even Astroneer but all that stuff is free on the market for anyone to use and the reason the Among Us characters aren't used in the game is that those are Copyrighted assets, but the Among Us Character in there is not Copyrightable as it was made completely different from the actual game and is, of course, 3D animated, but it can't be taken as Copyrightable as the Among Us Devs can't Trademark the "Idea" of that Character. I.e. the shape of the character the backpack and the big window front of the suit. It can be Reproduced differently as long as it isn't a direct lookalike. That would also be like trying to Copyright just a simple Hazmat suit with a backpack that looks like an Among Us character. Unless it was a direct Asset/Lookalike then they can Reproduce the "Idea" including the maps unless they were a direct asset. Hope that clears that up for ya the world of Copyright is very complex but it definitely shows that they had a good Legal team to make sure they didn't Copyright but got as close as they can to that Border between Legal and illegal. Although very Scumy and generally not a good practice to do as not to get public backlash, that's why they got negative review bombed. And the Contract on Steam is a direct Arbitration/Class suit waiver that states you can't take them to court and will be settled outside of court unless you opt-out by sending them your personal info at the bottom that's what the "Insert name/address" thing was, for a template to use to send in for that. But they are likely gonna sell that info since it's a known company that does that. I could go on and on about Copyright stuff but that's way too much and like I said the world of Copyrightable content is super complex and hard to explain.

At least Goose Goose Duck is commendable because they added stuff Among Us actually lacks. None of Super Sus is actually original, like not a single thing in it, I'm sure even the weird anime girls from the ads are probably from somewhere else. Edit: Calling I'm calling GGD a "ripoff" because it was really souless at the start too pretty much like this game, but nowadays it is it's own thing and it's actually really good, give it a try if you haven't.

The yellow oxygen pipes on the suits are also copied from Astroneer
