    I like the setting and out of focus background of this video. It was also short and sweet with easy to follow on screen text guides. Am I right in observing that although you say there’s no need for circular breathing (also in the title), you’re actually circular breathing during some of the patterns? So maybe this tutorial does actually teach/require foundational circular breathing?

      Master Adam! All so great observations. I thought the background isn't out of focus, it is always blurry to me. Maybe I need some glasses. Of wine. You are damn right I do CB! I apologize! I just have it on auto pilot and I have to consciously stop it, which I forgot to do. But the idea in the back of my mind is that this (kind of) rhythm actually gently guides you towards the CB as it prepares the intake and outtake of breath to the right level and has the rhythmic regularity which helps a lot.

    Thank You! Perfect timing for me, as I have gotten comfortable with the basics, and just starting to try and put things together. I will be incorporating this immediately.

    This is a great video. Easy to understand and follow, thanks! All your videos are fun, I love how you slip in jokes here and there.. it keeps it light. We are hoping to get playing this comfortably before too long!

      Thank you. I try to slip in jokes everywhere but Danka just edits them out as they are too bad. Luckily. I believe that if you give 15 min a day for two weeks to this exc, you will have exceptional transformational result.

    I could not wait. Great basic, never underestimate it. I struggle on breathing patters so I will try to relearn from zero. Thank you Du!

    and this is when MultiDrone didges help a lot with toots, tuning the toot under fundamental octave makes more easy to toot and can do it with pvc pipes!

      @DuendeDidgeridoo  Před 9 měsíci

      I feel some MD didges might feel too off center for a beginner to get a grip on regular didges. In this case, I feel the PVC tube is just fine, quite neutral.

    Great vid !
    I would also recommend "commitment" with the PVC tube as a fundamental add on .
    Without commitment (a portion of your time that you're willing to invest, on a daily basis ) it won't happen....

      @@DuendeDidgeridoo that's basically what I have a $40 Amazon PVC Didgeridoo. It's going well and I'm saving for something better. I just have tribe with toots and wobble. Everything else came easily.

      I thought this video is so short and so simple it doesn't require time stamps. How wrong I was! If we see YT implementing the real values of seconds, we could be in for a treat wrt timestamps even with epsilon length of videos... Something for us to try out for sure!

    I find i cannot easily make the toot sound, I have to really give big breath and pressure to make it toot. Suggestion? My didj is about a meter and half give or take

      what key is your didge and your first toot. Having a good interval between this two is helpful!

    • @DuendeDidgeridoo
      @DuendeDidgeridoo  Před 9 měsíci +2

      What JAMM says is true. If you have a bad 1.5 didgeridoo it could be much harder than with just a regular 1.5m pvc tube. If the didge is ok, you need to get your lips used to tooting. So I recommend you do it as daily practice. The key is the right tension of the lips, as you can see in the video.

    I’am starting today with this exercise. One question, do you push harder with the toot then with the drone or is it equal pressure. I feel like I need to push more to make the toot. Lips tighter?
    Your tutorials are very helpfull, tyvm ❤

    • @DuendeDidgeridoo
      @DuendeDidgeridoo  Před 8 měsíci +1

      You just need to tense your lips a bit. There are techniques which involve more pressure of air in the mouth done in different way which allow for different kind of toots, but you needn't think about it now. In the beginning that pressure of lips, that tension might feel like a big change, but when you will be able to play ten toots, you will feel that it is just a minor adjustment.
