Wow! I never knew this existed. Amazing to see Escher at work. As we move further in to the age of computers, this manual process seems ever more remarkable.

Only a genius could do something like that. Escher was a genius.

So he’s carving a rectangle. Then he suddenly has a complex, organic edge, scroll-saw cut of a mathematically perfect three piece of snakes. MC Escher is clearly a wizard.

That's the last work of esher, the synthesis of a life, interlocking geometries, natural shape, escape to infinity, cyclic time...
    He passed away shortly after

It has become wild seeing so many Escher sold, with great write ups on the piece and him, relying on the term "signed, attributed to" for things very clearly NOT ever real to him. This piece commonly with the (frequent 164 of 250) number. Also called a linotype and as we see in the film it is wood. Signature also placed most anyplace especially on white border (bottom) of sheet with head on top. (And as seen on known originals, he signed this by the snake head at bottom of print.) Many also advertise and do this with the snake head at the top - instead of bottom - making this all a pretty clear showing of a fake/forgery.
