Australian Shepherd Puppies, birth to eight weeks

- A lot of people are asking if these puppies are up for adoption and if I am a breeder and the answer to both is no- this video is from 2016 and they are all in happy homes currently. The tri colored pure Aussie and the merle pure Aussie (both shown at the end of the video) are the mom and dad, who lived happily together on a farm where the pups were born and raised for eight weeks. Thanks for all the views and comments, let's keep them positive please. This is just a cute puppy video not a place for arguing, thanks (:

Aww 🥰Lucky you! He comes from a great background, and this litter is beautiful! I miss my Aussie, but we are getting another. They're just the best. You should make a dog channel with him! Those are super popular and people love them cause they're so cute and you can get money off of them too so it's a win win for you and the audience who loves dogs. Watch "Life with Labradors" their videos are super entertaining and their dogs are so beautiful😊

thats so awesome that you give the pups so much space and you let them play with their mom and that the mom and dad are around is just amazing.
I own a Aussie puppy. The sweetest thing ever! He’s a blue Merle, with one albino eye and a pink nose. High maintenance but it’s worth it.

Wait, people often don't keep the tails of Australian Shepherds?? I thought it was more aggressive waggers, like boxers .. who's tail wagging hurts! I have an Aussie/Collie mix and her tail is just fluffy.

It's a stupid, snobbish AKC standard.
Aussies historically were ranching dogs in parts of the US with lots of tall grass that made it easy for them to chop up their tails pretty badly. They also heard a variety of animals, including cattle, that can stomp on their tails. So it's generally a good practice... for ranchers in specific parts of the US.
But if you want legit papers from a breeder about a puppy's genetics and pedigree, it's much easier to find breeders that are AKC/ASCA certified than ones who both do it right and give the AKC the finger.
Next puppy I get, though, I'll tell them to pick a puppy at birth and not cut its tail. That'll be my next dog.

We got our puppy from my fiance's parents dogs. They rescued (my dogs) mother under the impression of her being fixed... Until it was obvious she wasn't. Then his parents were like "Happy birthday! Choose a puppy!" They are were born with tails. The father is from a pure bred Aussie and a pure bred Collie. The mother is only known to be a lab/ blue heeler mix. All of the puppies ended looking like their dad, although have mixed personalities of both parents.
I totally agree with you on choosing your next pup. Either that, or a rescue is what I would do.

I do agility competitions, so it's important to me to find dogs from working pedigrees used to harsh conditions but with no patterns of injuries. Genetic technology/testing has made it much easier for breeders to mate dogs with both desirable cosmetic traits but without inbreeding depression issues.
But yes, a shelter mutt is hands-down one of the best kinds of dogs you can get. I've had good experiences with dogs both from breeders and rescue cases.
It sounds like you have the perfect mix of all the ranch breeds rolled into one.

Looks like a happy mom and dad. One of our litters dad would help mom with the pups. My smokey badger rode horseback at 5 wks and was trying to herd at 10 wks with parents.
both my aussies were cast aways. short hair mostly black with white boots and on some white on the chest. rancher/farmer told me it was their last chance... who could not love a puppy. been quite awhile without an aussie. miss them so much.
I always watch this video to remember my puppy who I left with my mom and sister as I am in the US for work and they are in Mexico. I come back around early September, but I can't take being away from my baby for to long. This video calms me down and makes me feel a tiny bit better, just counting down the days till I see my puppy again.

I LOVE this! Aussies with tails!!! I currently have two 6 month old tail wagging Aussies. This is the time I didn't get to spend with them. Love the mom playing with her pups. Wonderful music and videography. Good on ya' mates!

I love puppies but i had to dislike it because of that god awful '5 Years Time' song, that's why, no song should ever be as hipstery bullshitty innocent like that song is. Australian shepherds are often born without tails (bob tails) they are never docked, unless for health reasons

@@hannahc9815 In the U.S. tails are docked if not a natural bob if you want them registered with the Australian Shepherd Club of America because you are going to compete with them. Europe does not do this. Aussies used as stock dogs in the SW get their tails tangled in plant burrs etc. and cattle could step on the tails. That is why it became a breed "standard." I wish they would change their rules.

OMG so adorable they look just like my border collie when he was that you, how many did she have no wonder rr you had to bottle feed some dont think she had enough nips for all those baby dolls. I could never give up a single one of them, I am thinking that the father must be border collie, as some of those babies have classic markings of border collie only (or at least mama has some border collie in her) any way thank you for sharing these precious moments of these little angels with invisible wings I dont know how many ooo' and awww I made.

My Australian shepherd has no tail. She was born like that.
Just so you are aware, most aussies are born without tails.
Most dogs that have docked tails are for safety or health reasons.

Aussies are not born without tails. Sometimes they are born with bobbed tails, but the majority are born with tails like the ones in this video. The only point of docking a tail is if the dog is going to be a working dog, and most of the people that buy or adopt Aussies are not using them as working dogs therefore it is unnecessary pain for the pups to go through.

mike garritano some aussie are born with bobtail. Mine is a bobtail which I call no tail. I didn't literally mean my dog was born with no tail. I know aussie are typically born but there are a few that are born with bobtail. I know the health problems that comes with it. I did my research before rescuing my aussie.
I love how well you socialized the pups and kept them together with Mom and Dad. Aussies are a wonderful breed :)

Blue Merle aussies are some of the most beautiful dogs in the world my opinion. I don’t get one cause I know I can’t provide for such a high energy dog, but I still love to admire them.
